I (horde player) was saying the exact same thing about alliance players in my guild the other day. It's part of being on a PvP server, and especially one with 12k players online at all times. I understand you might prefer a nice and peaceful leveling experience, and there is a server just for that.

Have you killed mobs and looted them with your pet tagging them and you NOT hitting them at all?

I believe when your pet hits a mob but you don't, you don't get a tag.

I believe nost had about 15k? I'm guessing a lot of people missed out on Nost and wanted to try it out now. 25-30k really isn't that unthinkable imo. I do agree there's still shittons of AFK'ers in every inn.

What are these stories about staying online for hours afk? I grabbed a quick bite to eat and was already out when i came back.

The queue is obviously a pain in the ass, but the server itself, even with so many people on it and in the same zones, barely had a hickup.

Anyone know what hour the server is supposed to go up? (GMT)

There will always be people who enjoy making massive amounts of gold tbh, but that's mostly a small group. It's part of the economy. If things really get out of hand, a % to get a black lotus with a normal herb (like Undertanker said) seems like something that wouldn't disturb the economy too much. In any case, implementing non-blizzlike vendors would really kill immersion for me.

They give VERY low xp, plus most people only run low level dungeons once for the quests (which give good xp and blue items), so you'll be looking for new groups constantly.

That's a horrible idea, you can do this with a lot of items so where does it end. Btw there are already gold sinks in vanilla WoW, like mounts and abilities.

Couldn't agree more, enjoy the game! The leveling experience is an adventure all on its own and you will feel an immense sense of accomplishment every time you achieve something new, like getting a certain talent, spell, looting an item in a dungeon or finally reaching that profession level so you can make that blue belt you always wanted.
