Sure there are some major changes around the project at the moment - would be amazing if someone on staff could provide a little bit of information but really ppl need to put their big boy/girl pants on and just enjoy the game for a bit. 1) Population suddenly dove from 30-40K concurrent to 15-20K concurrent (across all realms) Have any of you noticed how few Chinese players there are at the moment? The Chinese government cracks down on VPN's and over night half of the population disappears. Its sad for them, sure it reduces the population playing but nothing this or any other project can do about it. Admins: Any chance you could provide any guidance on the # of Chinese client's connecting at the moment? bet its nearly 0. 2) OMG the staff have abandoned us! Has the quality of the server dropped? the reliability? (Sure the patch was rocky but if u played on bliz vanilla retail then you'd know the patch wasnt that rocky at all) Pings? So far i havnt seen any real evidence that the server is any less impressive than it was a month ago, infact if anything they are continuing to fix things and continuing to prepare for new content. Admins: any chance you could maybe just provide guidance on whether your still thinking the Anathema AQ timeline is still locked in? Summary: Sure, it would be really nice if the staff got out ahead of some of these tin-foil had issues. Be more proactive in calming the ruffled feathers of a community that only just recently went through doomsday but they are humans who make errors. Give them some credit for what they have achieved and only hold against them what they fail to achieve (i.e. dont focus on rumors/conjecture)

Put in an in-game ticket and ask for your ban reason, post in the forums and ask for a ban reason, Nost used to have a website you could goto to tell you why you were banned, im not sure Elysium set that up or not... probably not... Either way, just ask and you will be told why you were banned. Stop feigning ignorance, its not a smart argument,

Ive played on nearly every decent private server there is over the last 7 year's, and ive seen ban waves multiple times. Sure Atheraine used ban waves to slow down the "top guilds" and reduce the pressure on their dev team but for the most part almost every person I've known who got banned deserved it. The guilds who experience ban waves are typically engaging in activity that is bannable, they all do it because they see each other doing it and think its ok because everyone else is doing it, then the admin's catch on and they all get banned. Were you pulling magistrate through the gate in strath? instant resetting, pet tanking rag, gold buying, gold selling, industrial farming of materials? If you really were wrongfully banned, what were you banned for? What's your reasoning behind claiming it was unfair? And why are you posting in general discussion not the ban appeal section? Until you provide actual details of the reason the admins are giving for the "random" bans people im going to continue to assume your a shill trying to bring the community down because your mad that you or one of your friends was exploiting something, got caught and got banned.

Could this maybe be stickied or added to a help section of the forums? Lots of my friends want to set up 2FA but are to lazy to put it on their phone. As for keylogging - lets be real, keylogging is a very small portion of the hacks, most are from other pservers selling their DB's to the gold selling websites.

IMO the volume of accounts being hacked is more indicative of some form of brute force attack on the log-in server than it is of a wholesale leak of the database. If the DB had been wholesale leaked they would have gone after the players with thousands of gold. Also, those who fall victim to a hack seem to fall into different categories, All toons on the account were stripped, only 1 toon, all gold but no gear taken, all gear vendored. This leads me to believe its multiple different groups of hackers (ima go head and guess one for each gold selling website) that are trying to access accounts to fund their gold sellings ways (lets be real, they cant be farming the gold, those websites must be obtaining it through hacks). SO if there was a wholesale leak of the DB why are these hackers going after the L34 guy with 15 gold and vendoring his gear for another 10? Why not go after that 1 or 2 people will 20K gold? Because there was no leaked DB. TL:DR? If the DB was compromised they would have rolled forced password changes to everyone, the fact they havnt tells me it wasnt.

This particular quest was also part of todays patch notes, My guess is they may have fixed the quest giver in the barens to give out additional water sapta's. It was def bugged before though, the quest giver would not give additional sapta's so yeh had to get a GM to restore the item to you.

The command to change your password in game is .account password currentpw newpw newpw There are no " or # in it, you just need to put a space between your current and the new passwords. The in-game announcement makes you believe you need to put a # infront of the passwords, you do not.

Ok take the tinfoil hats off for a second. Lets address a few issues. 1) Quints - You only need 1 person who has completed the quest chain who can obtain a normal quint from the guy in Azshara, that person can travel back and forward to azshara as many times as is needed to put out all of the runes. There is no cooldown on the normal quint, its consumed so if you use summons/portals it would be possible to put all of the runes out in <30 mins. As another poster mentioned, there are ways of obtaining Hydraxian Waterlord reputation before MC comes out, you can get all of the pre-quests upto the lieutenants hands before even stepping foot in MC (infact i did this on Nostalrius and was the only person with quints and we killed rag in our first raid). So it is 100% possible, and 100% been done before that a raid can put out all of the runes on their first run. On a side note - there are no eternal quints on any Elysium servers, they arnt introduced until Naxx. So no cooldown for anyone ever for quints, just the requirement to go and get another one in azshara. 2) Gear/Levels/11 days in how is it possible? - Most casters can get decent pre-raid gear through crafting, it wouldnt be easy but if players prioritized being at least ready enough, and they were all of sufficient skill a bunch of fresh 60's could clear MC. As for non-60's most of the healing classes do not get anything major between 58-60 sure theres some nice stuff but your downranking anyway. If the sub 60's were dps or tanks they'd be very ineffective though. 3) But what about FR? How can you kill rag without FR. Its called the UBRS buff, its game breaking and should be removed. It makes MC and BWL a joke, and means the FR requirement is 135, very easy for someone to get. TL:DR? Very possible to clear MC the first time you get in there, does it mean its undertuned - maybe, does it mean its not blizlike - maybe, does it mean they cheated -no.
