    2 hand warrior tanking

Well my setup is going to be: Healer - Druid, mostly blues, couple of greens. Tank - Me, maybe a third of the way to pre-raid BiS. DPSx3 - PUGs. =D
  2. Can confirm that it is possible to get it - have done so on Elysium. It's totally not worth it though!

Thanks - I've been doing this all manually. Which is not efficient to say the list!

    2 hand warrior tanking

Thankfully I know a druid who is prepared to go along with me on this. (At least once) =D

Yeah - I totally get it's not a thing, and I'm not doing it to speed stuff up - I'm thinking about trying it because it might be fun! But if it requires BWL + gear then I guess not!

    2 hand warrior tanking

Hi Picked up the Unyielding Maul last night and I'm quite keen to try some 2 hand Warrior tanking. Can't find much on this - is it even viable without being really over geared for content? I'm not talking about raids but I quite like the idea of a smashing through Strat and Scholo. Will the lack of armour and block mean I end up needing to sword and board for all bosses anyway? Or can I stack dodge/parry gear to make it a possibility? Will holding threat be possible against half decent DPS? Would this MS spec work for example? I figure an opening would be: Charge, Bloodrage, beserker stance, whirlwind, Beserker rage, defensive stance, mortal strike, demo shout. Thanks!

Going Prot at 58 - hindsight is a beautiful thing.

Thanks Under - it's been so long I actually had just assumed shield slam was def stance only...

Currently I was using shield block before shield slam to get a dmg increase and then revenge when rage is available. I haven't even bother spending on the latest ranks of revenge as level 1 seemed fine for the odd dungeon while levelling. Gues I'm off to the trainer to spend what precious gold I have :'(

Yeah - I don't even want to comtemplate world pvp. Revenge is pretty low dmg though - shouldn't I be shield slamming at every opportunity? Or is is damge/rage that matters more?
  10. I leveled as Arms and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not nearly as slow as I remembered/feared. I figured I'd go Prot at 58 to loosen up the tanking skills and get ready for the 60 dungeons. My fondest memories of vanila were tribute runs and Baron 45s. (I don't have as much time as I did in 2005 so raiding isn't really on the cards.) However I'm not sure I'll even get there with how slow it's become! It might have to be tanking BRD runs all the way to 60! (Which is still a lot of fun I seem to recall). I have a new found respect (suspicion) for the Warriors I've seen leveling all the way as Prot...

I'm going to assume there are people who have better gear than you in the game. Does that make you lazy and noskilled?
  13. Khalia was her name, a Night Elf Warrior. And I a Tauren Warrior. Sworn enemies. We met by chance at the Ruins of Zul'Mamwe. I helped her get a split bone necklace and she helped me get mine. An enjoyable change last night from running through STV constantly in fear of a hard and fast ganking. We helped each other kills trolls for 30 minutes or so. She got spanked by some overly enthusiastic Orc hunters a couple of times. But she always came back to me. What is it with Hunters and PvP?! Anyway, I guess the moral of the story is that not all Allies are massive c!*ts!

Purely an intellectual exercise in constructing an analogy which adequately represents one or more looting systems which may or may not then allow people to look at said system from a new perspective.

I agree that personal wealth doesn't (and shouldn't) come into either of those loot systems. It doesn't really feature as part of the analogy either - which makes no assumptions about comparative wealth.
