Most likely, judging from the fact that you are so upset that you came here to make as embarrassing thread about this, you were saying some things in chat that warranted your chat ban. Why would the staff cater to the Horde on a pvp server where the Horde are already dominant?

That's totally understandable. And I agree on principal. However, if there is no discussion of loot rules before a run, everything boe can be needed on by anyone in reality. When you're in a pug, you don't really care what other people can use for gear. Everyone can use money. Most people are going to roll to win on be items unless there are some clearly defined loot rules. And even then, they'll probably do it about 40%. I'm not condoning the need roll. But, let's just be realistic. It's random people that were invited into a run, and there were no loot rules discussed. There's really no reason to call people out as ninjas, when you weren't worried enough about the loot to even set basic loot rules.

Or...there is a huge difference between 1 player being boosted, and getting 100% xp from every mob, and 5 people sharing xp.

I mean, where we're you on vacation at though? I did mine on my phone. If you were somewhere without any phone/Internet access, then that definitely sucks.

That's true. What we don't know though is to what extent the player in question was able to cover their tracks. It may not have been blatantly obvious to the staff what was going on. As far as the items goes, I'm not sure. I guess we have to lean on the staff for that. There is nothing that we can do about that either way. It's out of our hands. I doubt that the damage done from the item spawning was that extensive though. They obviously wouldn't have wanted to play there hand too strong. But, then again, maybe. Best move is to be suspicious of everyone and any post any member of the staff makes. :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, I've been scanning the posts and announcement about this. I don't go to reddit, that's a waste of time. But, wasnt the real core of the issue tha fact that someone hacked the database and gained access to GM mode basically? Again, I haven't been obsessing over the whole ordeal. But, that's what I got from the jumbled info that has been posted between nerd raging on the forums.

Like bug reports. The devs should be doing all the info gathering on that too. They should be informing us about gameplay bugs, not the other way around. We spend more time logged into the game than they are able to. It would stand to reason that we, the players, would be the first to notice something buggy with the gameplay, or fishy with another player. Be thankful that someone caught it, reported it, and that the staff took action swiftly.

Ah. That I'm not 100% sure on. I guess it would have more to do with the quality of the German client available, and its relative compatibility with the server.

Well excuse me for politely answering the question you posted in the general section of a public forum. Your characters are gone. You fell asleep on the transfer. You should have gotten them transfered within the first couple days. You had the same window as all of us who successfully transfered our characters. But, you blew it. You can send a pm to a gm, or start a ticket in game. Go ahead and waste your time. The answer that was given in this thread is a cometely accurate representation of the official answer that the staff has already given. Try doing some research next time. Maybe it will save you the agony of politely worded correct responses.

There is no way for them to allow you to have your character. They did not shut down the transfers, Nost did. That character is still on Nost's database, so there is really nothing that can be done.

Not that I'm aware of. Its actually against the ToU to use anything except english in public channels. So my guess would be no.

If they choose to do that, that's fine. I like TBC. However, they still would strive to emulate blizzlike TBC. It wouldn't be a modified client version of TBC. I think that's pretty obvious given their stance on the current servers. That discussion really doesn't have much bearing on your request though, because they are quite a ways from TBC. If ever. Right now we're talking about vanilla, and modified vanilla. Modified vanilla, as they have stated numerous times, isn't going to happen.

Sometimes thicker skin is required. But, sometimes people take things too far. There has to be a balance.

Set up your loot rules before you start. Include items that you don't think will drop because they are so rare. When you invite random people, and you don't set your loot rules, you can't call someone a ninja for winning a roll.

Look. I get that people don't like spam in any form. But, when the db leak happened on the other server that caused so many people to have their accounts hacked here, this is exactly what everyone said that the staff should have done. Because evidently, no one checks main page, forums, twitter, or reddit. So basically, people are just getting what they asked for.

When they made an official announcement about it a few weeks ago, and put a post on the main page, that wasn't enough for people. People still said that they weren't given enough warning. People actually said that what they should have done is exactly what they are doing now. And now people complain about that. Sounds about right.
