In practice killing mobs of +6-7lvls to pet is the optimal strategy, since they give almost the same exp as +20lvl mobs but you can grind them faster. Ive got Lupos from 23 to 28 in ~40mins including traveling, for example. lvl23 mob resisting spell cast by lvl60 hunter? is the possibility of this happening greater than 0 in practice?

Just tamed Lupos (Darrowshire). My first tame beast failed again lol but now the only other hunter was camping 2 other spots, so i was alone there. Yesterday Lupos spawned at ~65/25, today he spawned at ~33/26. I ve seen his corpses at ~15/30 and saw him get tamed at 67/25, so i can confirm the spots indicated in the OP for Darrowshire. Will report on his dmg once i level him.

Just was taming Lupos on Darrowshire, ally NE Spudsmee (ofc low lvl) started taming 10sec after me and he got him not me. After my tame beast ended i still had aggro and hit Lupos twice unarmed, still, Spudsmee's Tame Beast was successful which should be bug considering the description of a skill if i read it right (i have combat log screens ofc). Ive checked my tame beast on random mobs before that and had WDB folder deleted (successfully tamed a nearby spider just after the accident). Is this all right? Anyway, hunter community on Darrowshire community is as bad as it can get. I still can't get why P.S. Lupos was hitting me with shadow dmg (ive also had partial resist of his dmg several times) P.P.S. More to that, nobody did any legit checking on that pet +/- sunders +/- shadow debuffs, i was going to to benefit everybody, but now im not sure i'm going to share my data lol P.P.P.S. To that Spudsmee person - thanks' ive spent only 15+ hours stalking this pet, you obv needed it more than me. During the time spent camping him i've never did anything to compromise any other hunter.

Let me clarify. Since i have only played TBC before and my main wasn't a hunter i can only speak of MC and Ony judging from my personal experience (im playing on the PvE server so no BWL for sometime). In those 2 raid instances i'd go for a wolf rather than any other pet since on most fights its rather hard to get the pet attacking and surviving (out of the fights where dps matters you can attack with a pet on Golemagg and Ragnaross and possibly Magmaddar but the last one is not reliable at all). So for the most part you'll end up using your pet for Howl only. I do think that you can switch to dps pet for fights like Vael and Patchwerk etc, but i can't be sure until i try it. Regarding Lupos - if you have it - good. If you don't it doesn't matter since his dmg gets reduced by armor anyway (though as far as i understand it benefits from +shadow dmg debuffs). On the other hand if you would like your pet to dps you'd rather go with a cat imo. By LBRS worg i mean those non-rare worgs which you have to tame to get Bite 8 and Howl 4. Edit: as far as i know the pet normalization (patch 2.0) removed rare mobs special abilities (like resistances etc) and made all of them 2.0 AS. Dunno about the DPS.

BT is good for only reasons as far as i understand - more pushaback in PvP - more uptime of Frenzy if ure BM cause it has a 20% chance to proc on an attack It's useless in end-game PvE 100%. LBRS worg is better. BT is equal to other cats in the raid setting. I personally use the Wintersaber for farming purposes. Looks cool with my Ivory Raptor :P

Fisher, deep wounds don't knock out anything which is higher than them in the list posted (atleast that seemed to be true for the whole time ive played; though since im playing on the PvE server we're on 8 debuff slots only and i can't be 100% sure). Also i think that it's in the raid interest to have warriors 220% dmg crits rather than +450 RAP for hunters (that's assuming you utilize 2-3 hunters and 3+ dps warriors).

I support this decesion. The part abouth the core is debatable in my eyes, but i can understand the Ely POV. Also by making a new core Ely can cut off all the links with Nostalrius which is great - i don't want them to mess up with us anymore.

Elyisum staff, please, don't let us down by deleting our characters (i stress out that characters belong to players, not shady Nost admins)) and throwing away the core which was gifted to you. I believe that the Nost core wasn't developed by a single person or a permanent group of people. It was made by the community for the community, atleast that was the Nost (!) position themselves before they sold out. So please, just ignore Viper.

This is true, but the problem is that it's not us who make the decesion. We want Vanilla and we want it now! And we really love those /50 days played characters of ours who are NOT property of Nost

I hope that Ely will ignore that Nost bs and not betray us. Blizz is not going to release the legacy servers, that's quite obvious to me. So this statement from Nost is the best thing they could do to harm our community and betray all the people who've played on the old and new "nostalrius" servers. Also i cant comprehend why us playing on the Ely servers is causing the division of the community (as Viper puts it out lol). In hes logic us not playing and not having our characters will unite our community. What the hell, man? Also, Ely stuff should consider the fact that they've got support to host the servers from the community in the big part because of them having the Nost core and Nost characters. It seems to me that it's gonna be very unfair to remove those characters and the core from the servers.

Considering the T1 8/8 bonus you can see that as ~ +2% dmg increase because Multi-shot does around 15% dmg in the fights (that bonus is huge for PvP tho). The stats from T2 +/- make up for that loss imo even w/o considering the 8/8 T2 bonus. As far as i understand, the downside of T2 8/8 bonus is the fact that this debuff has one of the lowest debuff priorities and gets knocked off from mobs/bosses by Warrior's bleeds for example, which means its unreliable at best. Other than that, 450 RAP is OP for hunters.

XBows from AV, Strat UD and prolly LBRS are better than Striker's Mark for hunters. Give Striker's to the melees, they love it.

well for leveling you should be BM, your pet will tear everything + pewpew adds up also: boar is prolly the best pet for leveling, it has high armor and hp which is perfect, and he also have charge ability which is very convenient.
