    Fresh Server Pvp-Set

PVP gear is still viable in PVE, it's just not the best item you can get in PVE(PVP gear shouldn't dominate in PVE), I can be wrong about the weapons but to my knowledge AQ doens't have weps that beat the R14 weps, they're still a tad worse(I'd love to see which wep combo beats HWL in AQ). Maybe upgrading it after was efforts might be a better solution, but in order to say that you'd need to see what the exact impact is, aka see what piece is replaced when and what the differences are compared to the PVE equivelent. But like I said, why make the PVP gear more usefu without making PVE weps more balanced with the PVP weps as you can get naxx weps form PVP in BWL patch, that's a huge difference in damage output. If you're changing one thing to improve the game for PVP oriented players, you have to change the other thing to improve the game for PVE oriented players too, you can't just boost one thing forcing PVE players to PVP.

Bourbonpie stated that the weapons are not a big upgrade compared to BWL weapons, I simply showed him why they are a lot better than the BWL weapons. Weapons were brought up because they already are a huge reward from PVP as they get replaced in naxx. having gear also upgraded too early will take away the rewards from PVE, some people spend weeks/months of raiding just to get a weapon improvement starting from MC and ending in naxx, while PVPers just hardcore PVP for a couple of weeks/months and get a weapon that will last them until naxx. tell me how that is fair? it's not, but that's how it was and you don't see anyone making a post about wanting the weapons to be upgraded later to give PVE players more of a reward. You want the gear to be more rewarding, but think of it from a PVE perspective, someone that plays PVE fulltime and goes all out with consumables/ best gear possible to get also spends a lot of time in PVE, what you're trying to do is to make a change which forces hardcore PVE players(even normal competative players) to rank up to be able to get the best gear for PVE. and as I stated earlier, the weapons already do this in BWL. You want PVP gear to be fully viable in PVP and PVE, this is not how it's meant to be. If you want to update the gear earlier so it's more rewarding for PVP players why not also nerf the PVP weapons so the PVE weapons are on-par with the PVP weapons. It's just how it was back in retail, and if you want to change that you have to change it so it doens't just benefit the PVP community, it has to be a balanced change. And people who say that not upgrading it will ruin the PVP scene, that's just not true. It's blizzlike to have it that way, it will not ruin the PVP scene, changing it will maybe have more people do PVP, but not changing something will not ruin it. if you want to be rewarded for PVP, no1 is stopping you from PVPing on the Nost PVP server which has the changes
  3. You can adjust the char models to the wod ones by changing your MPQ files, this is however a bannable offense on Elysium/nost because it allows for other changes that can be seen as an unfair advantage. The goal of the elysium team is, like tribe said, to have a blizzlike server, this means adjustable xp rates and transmogs are not something they will consider.

I'm talking about the blue PVP gear, which is easy to get, if you're active in PVP while leveling you can get at least R4, I made rank 5 when I hit 60 on my warrior on nost PVP, getting the first pieces shoulnd't take longer than farming pre-raid BiS, depending on how much time you got ofc. About weps: let's assume you're a human and are getting CTS and maladath, which will take at least a couple of months to get depending on the loot system/luck of drops, R14 players will already have their weps for that time: R14 weps: 138-207 dmg 2 crit 56 AP 14 stam CTS+Maladath: 106-198 dmg // 86-162 dmg +- 0.7% crit +4 wep skill 28 AP 7 stam difference: -32 min dmg -9 max dmg -1.3% crit -28 AP -7 stam +4 wep skill This is a pretty huge difference in DPS, even if you get both weps in your first BWL they will still have to wait for naxx to get a better weapon. You only really start getting an equal weapon in AQ(AQR) which has a slightly better max dmg, still 24 less min dmg,4 more stam and 8 less AP

That's correct, which is why I said that the weps already forces hardcore raiders in ranking to R14 to stay competative :)

As a warrior the shoulders will be used until you get the T2.5 shoulders if I am not mistaken. and legs will be used until you get titanic I believe(even without the update although it's only 4 str and 8 stam) Also, keep in mind that the blue gear will also be updated, using 2 blue pieces will be an easy way out so you don't have to farm other items instead. Some of the negative impacts of updating the gear too early is for example: New players can use the PVP gear as a shortcut into raiding, PVP gear is not meant to be a shortcut. A hardcore PVE player will be forced to also rank in order to be competative in raids (R14 weps already do this as it's hard to compete if you have MC weps and the other rogues/wars are running around with AQ/naxx weps) Having those negative impacts just so people who enjoy ranking to rank 13/14 can be rewarded more than they initially would be seems a bit too much in my opinion.(there may be other negative impacts it has which I can't think of right now, same goes for positives) and @larsen, if you're going to compare items, don't be a .....(you can fill in the blank) and only take the low upgrades, some pieces get !% crit or hit and some other stats example: https://gyazo.com/2329d041b12491d1e98b70dee8eb1561 Don't copy the media's way of informing people, it's not healthy for anyone :)

I agree that the PVP gear update at naxx is not ideal since it's replaced by AQ gear by that time, the best time for the release would be where PVP gear will still be better in PVP, but not dominate in PVE. probably at ZG release or maybe pre-AQ, not sure, don't know all the pvp gear of every class. In my opinion, if you want to be rewarded for PVPing go play a rogue or warrior and get R14, you will get better weps than AQ while starting your progression in BWL. if you don't think that's a reward, idk what is. the fact is, retail vanilla was like that, I really dislike the fact that people are running around with AQ/Naxx equivalent weapons, but that's just how it was. If you're changing the PVP gear update date, I also want the PVP wep update later, to better balance that out. Changing the date of the pvp gear update will affect the vanilla experience, and not positively. If you want to have the updated gear early, you can also just play on the nost PVP server which is scripted exactly the same, but just is not fresh, or even Kronos.

    Inspector addon

I use SuperInspect, it tells you all the bonus stats they get from gear, it does not however tell the total stats they have, I'm not sure that is possible with an addon.
  10. The most important thing is that humans have mace spec , not dwarfs and UD has WotF. as for the timeline you can find the exact releases here: https://elysium-project.org/timeline. If you're going to help the community please do a bit more research before you release guides/videos. There's a lot of misinformation out there already. Don't get me wrong, it's good to provide information for the new players, just make sure the information you release is accurate to avoid misinformation If you need any help feel free to PM me
  11. A couple of remarks: Human has mace skill specialization as well as sword, dwarf doens't have either. Taurens have herbalism increased, aswell as the other racials Dwarfs have improved gun skill and find treasure ( both pretty much useless for warriors though) Trolls also have bow skill increased Gnomes have increased int(for the wep skill leveling xD) You're missing the most important racial of undead: Will of the forsaken Also keep in mind that the links for BiS pre-raid you included are focussed on patch 1.8 and has multiple items that are not available yet on the fresh realm

Looking for warrior suppression trigger plug

When one of your attacks is dodged by the target, you will get a message pop-up that will tell you: User overpower now! with the icon of overpower on both sides

Looking for warrior suppression trigger plug

I personally use WarriorHUD It shows when overpower can be used and some more stuff like a ragebar and when some of your cooldowns are ready Uploaded my version here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/lasovfbc75ko9gc/WarriorHUD.zip
  14. I suggest disabling it and reading the server rules if you want it to stay that way :) Any client modification (libraries, executables, MPQ, etc.); https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/21966-terms-of-use-rules-regulations/ Read the C. Permanent Ban section

Possible options to match edgemasters handguards

http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18380 is a good alternative until you get those R7 legs, When you get those, replace your chest with the PVP chest as well so you get the 40 AP set bonus as for the hit, just roll with the 8% until you get ony neck unless these have the 1% hit on the PVE server: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=14616 They're hard to farm but they'll be good until BWL (Do check if they give those stats on the PVE server, I am not sure if they do yet.) 9% would be ideal, but as there's only a 0.72% chance that you miss a yellow attack it's not a huge dps loss Another item you can easily replace if your neck, just finish the in dreams chain for : http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15411

  19. Hey guys! I am not sure if it has been done already on nost, so I would like to suggest to modify the HP of Practice Dummies(Theramore and Undercity). By default they only have 64hp, which makes them useless(I personally think about 500k hp would be a good amount) Why? The reason I want to have their HP boosted is so I can test certain items/mechanics(item procs, glancing blows etc.) I do not believe this will affect the gameplay negatively in any way. I would like to know what you guys think,if you have any questions or remarks, please let me know. EDIT: They would also have to be boosted to lvl 63 in order to be able to test glancing blows, I thought they were already lvl 63, it seems that this is not the case. Regards, Taurior
  20. Just got a chance to test it out on Nost PVP, They stay at 34 HP, do not get banished and still deal damage, all the damage that you deal against him will be Absorbed, so it will not be a viable option for glancing blows.

How to handle the fixed rage system.

From what I have found 3% seems to be the accurate proc chance of ironfoe, proof: http://web.archive.org/web/20070821131917/http://wow.allakhazam.com/item.html?witem=11684 comment made by Ryotu I think the post linked on the old ely tracker is his first post, where he states that he thinks it is 5% but has not done proper testing yet. after his testing he came with the proc chance of 2.7% over3226 hits
  22. I see no reason why it would be negative to have a tiny(less than 0.01% probably) bit of the population be in Undercity/Theramore to test out if scripts are working correctly. If I get this right you want that tiny population to spend days on leveling a char(for me this would be a second warrior, and for a 60 rogue this would probably be another rogue, so a huge waste of time) just so they can go out in the world to test whether the machanics are working as intended(reminder, this is not a vanilla aspect, this is something the private servers bring with them). It's not like they will not go out in the world to farm consumables, farm rep, run dungeons, world pvp etc. The fact is, people will go out in the world if they want to, if they do not want to they will afk in a city. Testing mechanics as procs/glancing blows is something you usually do when you AFK, so the only difference it would make is that this one person, maybe a coulple more, will AFK in the world instead of in Undercity/Theramore.
  23. Does working as intented mean they still take the dmg you deal to them, but just don't surpass 1 HP? This will make them more usable for testing, although you'd have to level a lvl 51/52 warrior purely to use it for testing, which will take at least 3 days of /played, which no one will be bothered to do. The dummies are useless for anything but testing, that's why I suggested it, I expected people would not mind having it modified(which is true as only a few people are against it(mostly out of principle that it changes something so it's bad) compared to the total views)
  24. Having target dummies does not cause you to not farm low level stuff, the BL servants can not be used to test glancing blows as stated earlier in this topic, since they require you to do damage to the target, so it's useless to have a char 3 levels below them to test it. I can't think of any mechanic that has impact on the gameplay(like procs, glancing blows etc) of which no information is available.(Let me know if there is) As a side note: Retail vanilla had about 7.5 million subscribers, as you stated: only a tiny sliver of the wow community bothered to carry out research about the mechanics. The chances that there will be people who thoroughly research mechanics when having to do thousands of hits is very small, even smaller if they have to wait for a respawn every 200k damage they do. ( keep in mind your healer can't go AFK during the autohit period as he has to heal the tank constantly). I have yet to find a person who is willing to actively do nothing but heal for a long time(time it takes to get enough autohits) without getting anything in return, as the data is not important for them ( then you still need someone that wants to tank, this is easier as he can afk a bit more, but still damn hard). I do not see any value in testing dps on a practice dummy, they do not have the same armor value as any other lvl 63(boss) mob, they also do not have any other mechanics that may increase dps, the dps you do is dependent on your enemy, if you want to see how your dps is, use Realmplayers, there you can see your dps per boss/ overall dps on trash etc. (also something that is not blizzlike btw ) The only way it could matter is to test how your practice dummy dps changes if you use another item, which will be inaccurate if you don't actively have the same dps rotation for a long time. I believe that should answer your questions, if you have further questions feel free to ask.
  25. Like I've said before: It's to test if the nostalrius scripts are working as intended, not to test out how something worked back in vanilla, that information can be found all over google. It will not remove some of the vanilla feel, as the amount of people that are actually going to use it is really small(probably less than 0.01%). Without dummies you'd have 3 people half-afking doing nothing but autohitting a boss or ocasionally throwing a heal, while still AFKing. plus, with the rule that you can not play 2 characters simultaniously outside of major cities you need the 2 extra members to be active at their PC being able to half-afk wow for several hours(you need thousands of autohits to accurately test some scripts) in a row without getting logged off etc. In retail vanilla you did not have to do this, as you know the scripts are blizzlike(obviously). Boosting the HP of practice dummies solves a problem that was not there on retail vanilla. I'll say it again: The information on how game mechanics worked back then are all found on google already. An alternative for this problem is to release a PTR where players can test all the scripts they want, or make it possible for people to host their local nost server. Both of which are terrible alternatives as it takes too much effort/resources from elysium/nost devs. You have to accept the fact that a private vanilla server is not retail vanilla. Its goal is to give people the experience of playing vanilla again. Practice dummies will allow us to help them achieving that goal. All they have to do is a small adjustment and let the community do the testing. allowing the devs to spend their time in other important stuff Keep your posts away from the Suggestion forums please, if you've got something useful to say, do it. otherwise just walk along.
