Hey man. When you are logging in, when it has authenticated your credentials you should try to hit ESC real fast before it DC's. To make it stop loading that realm and enter into realm selection.

The login-servers are experiencing heavy load, which is why its acting wierd. Just keep trying to login, try between the different realms. Usually it will let you in with just a few tries.

They are having problems with outgoing e-mails from some of the famous providers. Try using a g-mail account until it's fixed. On the other hand, you will probably recieve the mail within the couple of days.

Just keep trying. And try changeing realms. It will let you in eventually. Its under alot of heavy load.

I can probably bet a couple of hundred that more then the majority of the staff is solely focused on the launch. With so much traffic, advanced character transfer, ddos attacks, alot of unknown error also shows up. Show some patience, it's early release, things will get better. (Not to mention that they probably have their day-jobs to focus on aswell.)

Same thing happened to me last night. Once the server was restarted it was all fine. I don't know what causes it. But it will probably be fixed next restart. (Perhaps earlier). Since you're just level 5, my tip for you is to make a new character meanwhile

Probably a stupid question, but have you tried /p? If that dosn't solve it, i would suggest you delete the temp files in the WoW folder. WTF/WDB
