<Breakthrough> Ninja Looting DKP Guild
rockdoc replied to edi's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
How boy, how did I know you'd turn up here? First off this guy is extremely butthurt that the guild didn't fund his personal crusade to get exalted with the Thorium Brotherhood to craft ebon hand(s). Nobody in the guild asked or required him to raise his rep to make these items, but he continually bitched in gchat for days or a week+ that the guild wouldn't give him fiery/lava cores to do it. That's what his whole beef stems from, that the guild wouldn't give thousands of gold worth of cores to a whiny rogue who had done a handful of raids for his pvp maces that eat shadow vuln charges when they proc. -

This has been accused a few times in this thread, but not one actual concrete example of favoritism or shady stuff has actually been given, let alone proof of such. Care to provide an example with some proof? -

Did you even look at all the proof? the winning bid was in as soon as the bidding was opened as proven in the SS you just quoted. It was simply that the message was missed, which lead the raid lead to erroneously declare Majstor the winner, which was then pointed out, and subsequently corrected. But he didn't stick around to get the SS from Rofl that he was not ninja'd, that dkp was not altered, or talk to any officers. He just raged that he didn't get an item he felt was owed to him and quit on the spot, because all he really cares about is loot. -

You misunderstand, I have nothing against the guild, just a warning to those in the guild that if this guy has any sway over loot council, i'ts likely to be biased based on his actions in the past and his attitude toward loot in this game. -

This should be a warning to anyone in <We Play Horde>, that if you are a warrior/melee dps, there's a pretty good chance Majstor is going to take pvp/dps items from you, or ragequit/cause drama if he doesn't get items for even his offspec that he doesnt even fucking use. -

Nobody has posted any proof that Laurana's dkp was altered-in real time during the bidding-so that he won the item. That's pretty hard to do and would be exceedingly obvious given the nature of webdkp, a discrepancy would be easy to spot. You can even check the awards in webdkp against the raidstats logs yourself if you care! He's just angry that he lost an item that HE KNEW was not loot prio'd to warrior tanks, but was open to bid by all tanks, dps warriors, rogues, etc, that could use it for their mainspec for raid. But this should all bea moot point, right? I mean he joined a loot council guild so that he can NEVER AGAIN be denied an item he deems he needs to have more than anyone else (though it helps to actually do MC to get any items). -

How can you claim DKP manipulation when the DKP system shows an accounting of where all of the DKP gained came from, and where all of it was spent? Though I'm not entirely surprised hearing paranoid delusions coming from a guy that takes this game so seriously and is so insecure that he controls who his girlfriend can or can't talk to in-game. -
Is there an ETA on a fix/reversion of the Herb respawn timers? Time between spawns increased greatly this past Wednesday after AV item hotfixes. Given that BWL will be released in just 10 days, many herb-based consumables, especially flasks, will be in high demand. Appreciate any sort of answer you can give.

I think you fundamentally don't understand what the word "donate" means, not to mention any of the legal/financial issues therein. Donating to an ostensibly non-profit endeavor like a political campaign or a private server is like just giving your money to someone with your blessing to use it however they wish, within the guidelines that it isn't for profit. If you donate to a political candidate, and then they dont do everything you want them to do, you can feel scammed, and choose not to donate next time around (or fund opposition, etc), but this is not a business transaction. This is not a quid-pro-quo transaction where you are paying for specific services rendered with an agreed upon outcome. If you pay blizzard to play their game, there is an expected level of service which you are agreeing upon by making that payment, and there are reasonable services and accommodations that they hold themselves liable to make for you while using their product, or you can have them issue a refund if you have the grounds for it. Even then, you can't just run chargebacks against them if you get pissy for whatever reason; well, you can, but they are then well within their right to bar you from using their service in the future, likewise your own credit company can bar you from using their services if they deem you to be abusing the chargeback system. This whole thing is just sad because these two chargebacks (alex and this one) have caused the elysium project to lose the ability to use direct server donations to OVH, which were great for the level of trust and transparency they provided to the private server scene.
