Banned for joking with website advertisers:

Agreed since accounts are free, if they accounts cost a dollar amount to purchase (which would affect server population of course and is not ideal) it could kill them off and increase their hacking efforts. -
Texnos (Priest) on elysium is a NINJA (Proof)
TTL replied to bellakor's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Doesn't matter. People ninja valuable items, not copper ore. That said... when an epic drops, or something else rare/valuable people may need it. This is why you don't press "greed" on BoE epics.... regardless of who "claims" they will use it. As far as we know this warrior would have sold it on the AH but only claimed he would have used it. You never know, and this is why you be fair about it and play it safe by allowing EVERYONE a chance at these items, and the winner can use it, or sell it. -
Read the link above. Gold Sellers & Inflation go hand and hand, so the irony here when you're constantly being destroyed but refuse to accept reality. Perhaps why the wiki link was posted.

Questions about Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros
TTL replied to Deazklock's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
1) The pattern comes out with BWL release. 2) No 3) First need 8 ignots, 9 to also get the pattern, 50 arcanite bars etc. 4) Alliance will be purged off the server. -

Scammed by Aelwynne <Sinister Laughter>
TTL replied to Nobo's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
& @Nobo It's actually not scamming, standard price we can agree on that however if no agreement on the price regardless of it's "standard knowledge" then you are left in a bind with someone already using their transmute and not getting what they expected, and someone who expected to pay less than normal without saying so. 1) being an idiot and trading your arcanite bar in the first place without an agreement is your fault 2) being an idiot and accepting the arcanite bar in the first place without an agreement is your fault Both of you are to blame for something like this happening in the first place, none the less it's PATHETIC that this was all over a mere 2 gold. -

Okay? I've read that ages ago but again your focus is in the wrong place. We shouldn't try to prevent people from buying gold, that's their choice and they deserve to be banned. Giving millions of dollars to someone to prevent them from robbing a bank is a silly reality. I also don't see how it will make it easier to make gold when diremaul is nerfed xD
-
What are you right about? Clearly nerfing gold gains into the game will slow down inflation. 1+1=2 Also your reasoning for inflation is so "people won't buy gold" is the dumbest thing I've heard in a while. You're supporting a slow death to the game because others CHOOSE to break the rules? That's like blaming the bank for having money in it's vault instead of the bank robbers lmao.
-
"Diremaul was a good place to farm gold" - Exactly why it was nerfed "IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW THE ECONOMY IS ON THE SERVER." - This is exactly why you're an idiot that knows nothing about economics OR previous servers that have died due to inflation because no one wants to play there or the game has so much gold everyone runs GDKP and new players can't even join a raid xD Clearly they will slow down the pace of inflation when massive "pure gold" is not being entered into the game. Also when someone earns a mount is irrelevant. Also just to debunk your Linen example, you get tons of Linen to the point it's always dirt cheap on the AH, there is no reason for high level and rich players to buy the Linen compared to say Runecloth... so Linen will not see large rise with inflation, and inflation will still make items take just as long to earn except for static prices like Mounts. Now go search for "your truth" rather than "the truth" like most dense people.

You must lack common sense and knowledge on how markets work so do your best to quiet down. I'm a power trader on several MMO's reaching high amounts of wealth so don't be so quick to dismiss what I have to say simply because you want to disagree with me for your own sake. Your statement "Then why was freezing band 400g when it wasn't nerfed and 800-1000 gold now thats not always true for everything. Don't try and justify it with something stupid like inflation it was a good farming spot regardless and a source of income for honest players." Now I'll try to explain this more clearly for you. First off, giving me a timeline would better help me analyze but your extremely vague comment. You state why was freezing band 400g, but "now" it's 800-100g. 1) When it was 400g there were far less level 60 mages than right now that was interested (Demand) 2) "Now" there is much more gold in the game than before. (Supply Gold/Rings) Supply + Demand, it's seriously not that difficult to understand. Obviously there is tons of mages who have 800g that want the ring, and this is why the price is roughly around 800g. If no one ever bought them then the price would slowly decline from undercuts and a larger supply that slowly enter the game. Now if we let every gold farm pump massive "pure gold" into the economy you would be looking at the same amount of mages with 2000g instead of 800g and the price will be higher. While we can argue that's fine because everyone can make faster gold you are actually hurting less knowledgeable players or low level players who do not have access to high demand resources or farming spots to make as much gold to buy these items at inflated prices which does ruin their gaming experience. If you can't understand this, you're probably just stupid and will believe anything you have to say which has little to no actual substance in the first place.
-
On Elysium freezing band is BiS now, later it won't be BiS especially with many BiS raid options, supply and demand is always a factor and of course people have less gold in the first 2-3 months than in the 6 months so of course prices will naturally be different. @Shynthia Economics isn't hard to understand when you add in supply and demand, the Linen was only an example so pea brains could understand without taking it literally into context but guess that failed ;)

Dictate? Let's calm down. A large reason previous servers have died is because of "stupidity" of allowing inflation which is very unappealing to people wanting to buy flask at 200g, or a stack of herbs for 50g. New players are affected by this most because the actual demand on Linen is very low, while the demand on high level herbs will always remain high. A new player will never be able to afford things they can now because of inflation on the more limited items. This also has lead to previous servers doing GDKP for raids which have destroyed some servers also. Inflation is bad, there is a reason ALL games deliberately control it. Saying it doesn't matter just says you don't know the in depth issues it creates for a game long term.
-
This is false, if money is "easier" to make for everyone, then inflation forces prices up. So while you struggle to make 10g now instead of 100g. The item you want to buy for 200g will instead be 2000g. Nothing would change if gold was easy to farm because the issue is inflation and actually it would affect low level players the most because items like Linen won't be affected as much as high level cloth/herbs/ores that are needed so with your logic it would encourage low level players even more to buy gold to afford things.
-
@Shynthia To make an example, in 2004-2006 not many players knew of the good gold farms. Let's say back then you could buy a stack of Linen for 10 silver. Today people know of them, without them being nerfed you will have MASSIVE inflation and instead that Linen stack will be 10 gold, instead of 10 silver. While you can argue it is "blizzlike" people can rightfully argue the economy is not "blizzlike", sometimes changes need to be made due to the differences of knowledge from back then, to now. Also the fact we have like 50+ guilds clearing MC on one server can also be argued it's not Blizzlike since back the old days there were few guilds on each server capable of clearing the raids. Similar to the population not being Blizzlike is why the spawns need to be increased to compensate. I assure you the intentions here are pure/good, otherwise I wouldn't want to play here.

Yes this would be ideal As to many of the others posting, we don't really need to listen to biased/elitist dictact to others to just "deal with it". I'm not PvPing for rank 14 so I don't need a premade, I do it simply for fun and enjoy recking all the rank 13/14 bads with double my hp but losing matches in a couple minutes due to 5 caps is boring, dull, and lame. Elysium makes changes to the game that the player base would want overall for the survival of the server. I'm sure a majority of those PvPing are not premades through the whole entire week but the minority, and I'm also sure they are only there to get rank 14 and not actually "enjoy bgs" when they end the match in 2 minutes. While it's fine to suggest making your own premades it still doesn't deal with the reality that one faction is being forced into doing that to play with your suggestion while the other faction is full of people that just naturally want to premade.
-
Eventually premades were matched against premades as Blizzard changed it later. With all of this private server logic like "nerf X, because blizzard meant to change it later" it would follow suit. Premades are really not the issue, it's that all the tryhards rolled the same faction and it's just naturally imbalanced. I don't blame the horde for AFKing and get a kick out of them being punished even more with some MORAL cause that it's wrong while the alliance would prefer not to have a challenge at all by premading for max honor gains. Overall the entire situation is a shitfest and the only thing you hear is "make ur own premade you filthy casual"
-
Just curious which is a better tank weapon for threat if anyone has tested/compared them and where would Alcor match vs. these two?

29 minute record holder? Last I looked it was 20 minute? speed clear by Dreamstate but perhaps it was after this date.

What Is Being Done To Combat BG Afking?
TTL replied to Jdude2021's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Changing the respec cost from 50g to 25g isn't authentic.... having nerfed items like Ironfoe which wasn't nerfed until later isn't authentic..... nerfing gold farms all over the game isn't authentic.... having BG queues inside the major cities isn't authentic... I'm not sure what your spewing but I can tell you it's not reality. Obviously Elysium will make changes to make a majority of it's player base happy or for long term health of the server. Yes we want to keep the game as much alike as it was back then, but at the same time changes will happen that make the majority happy. If those who premade are only 10% of the PvP playerbase and the other 90% want 5 man queues to be the biggest size then you can bet it will happen based on other changes. -

I think a lot of tryhard players and guilds in general roll Alliance since it allows for easy mode PvE/PvP with paladins>shamans. -
Hey there, those patch notes were from TBC, if we use future expansion changes then vanilla would be completely different at least the way that i see it.

It's hard to tell which is a premade sometimes, i'm sure they are just use to fighting premades 80% of the time and that's why but I agree afking is lame and should not be supported here but there is a bigger issue to deal with than afkers. Strike the problem at it's core.
