Chain sheeping is a legit PvE tactic. Last night one of our guildmates had an issue with this as well. The response was to train mobs to the griefer and feign death. It only took once to get the mage to stop the harassment. I highly doubt a GM would take action with the story, "So I was griefing this guy but totally within the rules, then they griefed me back! Banhammer plz". The TL;DR is, there are several classes that can greif within the rules. Get a guild, ask for help. Maybe one day the staff will rule on this type of greifing. Until then you have to get in the dirt with them.

Regarding the toxic community comments, it is really a very small fraction of the community that have cold, black hearts. Just shut off general chat (use LookingForGroup instead) and never pay attention to #general on the Discord. You'll begin to notice that the people you actually play with in the game world are really quite nice. The ones that spend all their time shouting in general chat tend not to be.

In the UO community most servers limit the number of connections from a single IP, mainly to prevent or limit multiboxing. The roommate scenario is typically handled via a manual exception that is applied for via form post or online form. It seems to work well in that community, even on servers with 5k concurrent players.

The team has stated on numerous occasions that they will not be blocking VPN services as this is the only way the legitimate players from China are able to access this service. If you look at the staff it's pretty easy to understand why this is important to them. The other suggestions are great! Thank you very much.

I received that message a few times while attempting to enable Two-Factor Authentication. After a few tries it worked. My guess is the site is hosted on a rate-limited hosting provider. Try again later. Most such hosting providers rate limit by the hour, so maybe try at the top of the hour?

@Jackdead I am sorry to hear about your account :( As poorly as it was presented Erjh8765's statements are accurate :( Here are some tips to make sure you don't get hacked again: Use a very secure password and two-factor authentication for the email account that is associated to your game account. Gmail offers two-factor authentication for free and works well with the Elysium systems. Use a different password for your game account. This is absolutely critical. If your game account and linked email account share the same password and either one of those gets compromised then the hacker can simply turn off your two-factor authentication. Enable two-factor authentication for your game account in the Elysium control panel. If you take these three steps it is very difficult for an attacker to compromise your account. They would have to: Guess your game account name Compromise your game account password Guess the email address linked to the game account Compromise your email password Break your email provider's two-factor authentication - typically by: Guessing your phone provider Guessing your phone number Guessing your real name Calling your phone provider and using social engineering to get your SIM Certainly this can be done and has been done numerous times to public figures. But it's the best defense you have for your WoW account, and anything else online.

I tried to run with Linux Mint 17.1 with Play On Linux's vanilla WoW profile. Frame rate was awful and sound was delayed by about 1 second. I also attempted to run under a VirtualBox VM using Windows 7 as the guest OS. I could get 3D Mark 2016 to run but WoW refused to start with "failed to start 3D acceleration" error. I don't know what I was doing wrong if everyone else had good results :(

Great first post! Alex is a YouTuber that specializes in the Vanilla WoW community. Over the past two months his criticism has become progressively less constructive to the point of being downright combative and misleading. Feels bad man.
