Today I had the bright Idea of taking a USB stick with Vanilla WoW into college for my lunch break. It wouldn't connect. I was a bit disappointed when it wouldn't work so can anyone give me an idea as to why? is it the college blocking it, or have I done something wrong?

^ Not true at all. Maybe its you, not them. EVERYTIME someone has been ganked while levelling on Anathema; there was lots of people interested and lots of advice/help. I don't know what game youre playing but its not Anathema. You're completely lying. I have seen more low level players while levelling than max level players, again by a HUGE margin. Also, 30-45 minutes to form a dungeon group is FAST. Did you even play before LFG?

^This personally isn't my experience on Anathema really. I just started last week, low level players are absolutely EVERYWHERE its insane how populated it is compared to retail. The only person ive seen mocked for being "ganked" was because he was actually killed by NPCs :') It's probably low population compared to retail vanilla but from my many conversations ive had with people ive grouped with for quests, theres a lot of players from vanilla that hasn't played the game in like 10 or so years so they feel like a noob and theres quite a lot of players who clearly joined retail after Cata(at the earliest) But whether you want Darrowshire or Anathema should be more focused on world PvP; I have been ganked a lot just in the Barrens and Stonetalon mountain - I can't imagine EPL/WPL. Personally I laugh when it happens, but some people really hate it.

To be fair though its not a simple situation. There are some people with a decade of experience and some with absolutely none. I don't think either should be catered for but neither can they ever get ignored so.. My opinion of this situation specifically was mentioned above; its optional.

Lol, no. a sport is just a game which is physical. This is also a game. In ANY team game its competitive when the two groups set their own terms on the rules to the game.

Really I'm not as sensitive as you so you're not getting anywhere. I do realise you avoided defending premade groups and ignored my argument that any sport/competitive outing in actual life does not have pre-made groups against pick up groups.

My only advice is to avoid alts so you don't get burn out from levelling. When BC comes out you've really got 4 options: 1)face launch of outland zones which means fighting over quest mobs for a few days/weeks 2)take a break and still do outland zones straight away but with less competition 3)Roll Belf/Draenei and be a couple week behind on attunements for heroics etc 4)Quit. I'm personally going for the first one, but I was a wrathbaby so all the things people complained about in vanilla/TBC sounded fun to me.

Your own words paint you as a loser "Ashamed for being better and more organized than pugs?" yes that's shameful to be proud of, well done for being more organised than 10 or more strangers. If it is competitive; why don't amateur sport teams do this?

Premade groups in ANY PvP game against non-premade groups is the opposite of competitive; I thought people who do that were ashamed of themselves but apparently not. The only reason it doesn't seem "blizzlike" was because obviously some of blizzards bad decisions was only for subscriptions; making sure people renewed their subs just for a rank on a game. They knew it didn't work but didn't change it sooner because money.
