No that is not true, they only had backups that were a couple of months old. When the database was taken, a lot of the recent backups were deleted also. To the OP, you can try and open a GM ticket, but I doubt it will do much. You have the most recent backup of your character they could retrieve.

Were your characters on Anathema (old Nost)? Those were not brought over yet.

It should just be in the main WoW directory, where your client is at.

I play on this and two other vanilla projects currently, and I really don't notice much difference in terms of etiquette and whatnot. I've met a lot of friendly people on all servers I play, and each has their ups and downs. Maybe you just had a string of bad luck, every server will have their share of assholes. It's also quite possible you are running into a bot. Sadly, I think the language barrier is one of the bigger issues. On this project, there are a lot of Russians and most don't speak good English. On another certain popular vanilla project (which won't be named) there are a lot of Chinese. My advice (regardless of where you play) is to find a guild of helpful people with similar goals.

Open up that file in notepad. Type in set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org Then save, and close the file. That file helps the game to determine which server you are connecting to.

There was a several hours unintentional rollback while they were doing a server merge, I'm afraid your rogue is gone for good and will have to be remade. It's not a recurring issue though.

The "Stratholme" server took direct copies of the characters from Light's Hope using their transfer tool, that's why it was more up-to-date, but it was a tool that you had to personally use, and there was constantly issues and errors. The characters restored used the only backups available when Light's Hope shutdown the servers and copied the database last October. So that is basically the reason.

No that is not possible. Nost allowed transfers to Elysium a couple of years ago when they were shutting down, but their transfer window was only for a few days. If you didn't do it at that time, your Nost characters are gone for good. Elysium does not have the Nost server database.

It's only a level 6 mate... takes an hour to rebuild one.

If you getting that message, then your realmlist file is not setup properly, or you have a corrupt client (or you have the wrong version, needs to be 1.12.1)

Your best bet is to keep an eye on discord, they provide faster updates there. All we know from here is that it will occur within the next 24 hours or so.

There was a big rollback, I'm afraid any progress you had over the last 12 hours or so of playing is gone. Only thing they are restoring is blue or epic items looted.

Your best bet is to try their discord, they usually provide more timely updates on there, and you may be able to ask someone for more info.

Probably was hacked/compromised and banned for that reason. It won't open again on its own, need to put in a ban appeal.

That server was on a later patch, they only bringing characters from servers that are on the same patch as Nighthaven.

It will be your characters from the Elysium/Darrowshire servers, with a rollback of a couple of weeks or so before they shut down last year.
