Overall I enjoyed the project, fresh server with good solid population, great community, and very few crashes with little lag, but then the big epic mount exploit after patch 1.4 came out, at that point I had to stop playing when nothing was done about it, though I may come back some day. Hope the developers learned a valuable lesson from that.

At this point there's nothing more to be done. There is no fix coming or even possible at this point, nor will they admit how badly they fucked up. They also couldn't care less on discord. I gave the Elysium team a second chance, not willing to give them a third chance. Just do what I did and go to another project.

This is mostly what I stopped playing here. World PvP is fine and I knew there would be a huge increase with the newest patch, but this epic mount "oversight" really sucks, I was level 56 when this all went down, was confused as to why suddenly everyone had a 100% mount chasing me down, then learned very quickly why. Even if I someday hit level 60, I would have to grind to 1000g, unlike everyone else. Just too discouraging to keep playing here as a result. I'm sure all the level 60s love it though.

Before patch - Cost of training is 90g, cost of mount is 900g. After patch - Cost of training is 900g, cost of mount if 90g Developers here decided to push this change for patch 1.4, which would be ok with me but they also decided to inform guilds ahead of time. So, most level 60s purchased training for 90g before patch hit, then purchased mount after patch hits for 90g. They saved more than 800g.

Usually is a result of a corrupted client. Uninstall and reinstall with a fresh one.

These donation quests don't appear until 1.5 I believe.

I would really like a developer or community manager's input on this, along with if anything will be done to solve this issue, or if it's simply a matter of "Whoops we messed up, so let's move on." I'm sure all the current level 60s are gleeful at getting a cheap fast mount, but personally as a level 56 when the patch hit, it was very disappointing to hear of this exploit. Now every level 60 I encounter in world PvP has a 100% mount to chase me down. I have decided to stop playing on this project as a result and not finish my leveling journey, as this change has left a very sour taste in my mouth.

Personally, I am fine with the gankings and have accepted it since Honor system was released and no BGs out to get rank up currently. I'm more annoyed with how the Elysium team handled the epic mounts issue. Nearly every 60 I run across has one now due to the 'exploit', and the team seems not interested in even attempting to solve their major screw-up. I wish everyone on this server luck and I hope the devs learn from their mistake here, but I will be moving on to another project until Blizzard releases their classic realms.

Escort quest NPCs were always a little buggy before, but now they've gotten a lot worst after today's patch. Their aggro radius is all messed up, and while under attack they keep evade bugging and regen to 100% health while not attacking the mobs, and thus the mobs start bugging out also. Unless the escort quest is finished, both will never despawn as a result.

What's also worse is that many of these level 60s got informed about the mount changes coming up in 1.4 well ahead of time, so they got an epic mount very cheap by purchasing the training before patch, then purchasing the mount after patch, so it is impossible to run from them, and anyone now in the process of leveling to 60 is at a severe disadvantage to getting their epic mount. I have no idea how this was missed by the developers (was it intentional?), because this change did not go into effect by Blizzard until 1.12.

Patch is already in effect. And yes people exploited that to get a super cheap epic mount riding. Extremely silly and unblizzlike in my opinion.

This is affecting all escort quests. Just have an escort mob engage an enemy on its own and you will see.

Answer was already given above. If you're caught modifying game files, it's a permanent ban. So it's your risk to take.

Nighthaven is a fresh only realm, it doesn't accept transfers or character restores, you have to roll a new character to play on it. Basically the character restore tool servers no purpose right now. Don't ask me why they still keep it running, I guess to just confuse people like you.

Never mind I understand now. People bought the epic riding skill for ~90g before patch, then bought the epic mount for ~90g after patch hit. That is pretty lame ...

The cost is still the same overall, not sure where you get the 200g figure from.

Permanent, because modifying game files is equal to hacking. You won't get an unban.

Welcome to Vanilla mate, the prices are the same as they were back in Vanilla. Try training only in skills that are pertinent for your leveling and spec. If you having money issues, I would recommend picking up two gathering professions, and auctioning anything that isn't grey. Worked just fine for me and I have more than enough for a mount at 40.
