TBC Server Not Showing on Account Page
Zancon replied to Jeddahwe's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
There isn't a shop for TBC until after every combination of Class, Race and Faction has reached level 70. -
The horde are in Stonard. We still have about 1 hour before the portal even opens.
-
Please use the GitHub link in my signature below - that is the only way to get bugs to the development team.
-
I don't see how that would be possible. All servers were taken down, merged, and then that database was made the starting database for TBC. You had to of bought skills or something after the transfer.
-
It's been disabled for a few days, when did you do this?
-
I used a torrent, but have had the client for years. When did you do this? We have had the faction transfers disabled for several days now Click the development tab in the realm selection,
-
Have up changed the realmlist in your TBC client install?
-
That version appears to be one of the self extracting archives - maybe try installing a compression manager / archiver like 7-zip and see if that works? https://www.7-zip.org/ Other then that the only other thing I can think of was somehow the download was corrupted.
-
Its corrupted, maybe the upload from a friend is corrupted. You need a good copy of the game. https://www.dkpminus.com/blog/wow-2-4-3-download/ has several links.

Any MPQ error you should download the client again. It's the beat way to fix.

Flagged for name change, but change doesn't work.
Zancon replied to Wowish's topic in Help & Support
It was available on the original server in which it was created. That server had to be merged into our other server as it was becoming unplayable due to low population. Unfortunately the name was not also available on the other server which is much older so it had naming priority. This is what forced the name change in order to be able to play. It may be as simple as just doubling one of the letters such as making it Darkkone. With the above said and my previous reply we are working at ways to reclaim names from inactive accounts but don't have an ETA for that. -
As answered above, disconnected from server messages are related to not having your realmlist.wtf file set properly.

Incorrect addons, meaning those not for 2.4.3 are causing some of these issues. Solutions above work for these, ensuring correct addon versions helps. We have also found that the guilds with more than 300 members can cause issues. Solution in the short term is to trim the guild below 300 or to quit the guild. Development team is working on it.

Every single post in this thread was about addons at the beginning. There are many addons with issues - it's hard to troubleshoot those issues because we don't know if they are using the proper versions for TBC, within the TBC versions many addons have several releases so which release are they using? There are separate issues - some ARE addon related and some are server CORE related. We narrowed it down, within the purview of this specific thread that it was a core issue related to guild size. Simply being in a guild isn't an issue. Being in a guild with more than 300 people is an issue our development team is working on. Right now the work around is to either cut the guild size below 300 users or to quit the guild yourself. Consider that I am talking to and helping many people and not every solution is the same for all of them. This thread was about addons, so the trouble shooting was about addons. Over the course of the thread and with more information gained, specifically to our own testing and listening to user issues we found the core issue and the conversation has shifted due to this new information.

When merged the older accounts had name priority - if your names were the same they are forced a name change.

Everything I had in mailbox are bugged and gone!?
Zancon replied to Hayawani's topic in Help & Support
I can appreciate the corporation / enterprise style approach in your message. The difference is this project costs us money, we are all volunteers, the team is very small in time zones all over the world, no set schedule doing this in what little spare time we have and several don't speak the same language(s). We make mistakes, I get it, we are working on it as best we can, as quickly as we can. -
You rule, this video is awesome. Can you click the github bug tracker link below and post this issue up with the video attached so the development team can have a look?
-
What we are now learning as this whole situation unfolds is that if your main is in a large guild you may have to /gquit and try the interactions again. We seem to have some kind of a core issue with how it handles guilds with more than 300 players in them.
-
It's not at all my intention to be passive aggressive. We don't control addons. If the addons are broken and resetting your addons by clearing your WTF and WDB folder isn't working than the only choice to a fresh download and reinstall of those addons. If that doesn't work then not using that addon and looking for an alternative with the same or similar functionality is the next step. If that doesn't work not using addons is the option. This is not at all a server side option. The server doesn't manipulate addons. You are mixing issues - addons are one issue. Large guilds are another separate issue. Large guilds are an issue because we unlock the amount of players allowed in a guild. In retail, I believe this number was 300. That's not an addon issue, that issue is with how the core handles guild tables and is separate. All of us are learning the quarks of this and I am a single person handling support requests for thousands of people. I apologize if my comments are short, but I can only spend a limited time with each person or everyone would be awaiting a response for days.
-
can you PM me your account name, email and the character name on the account having this issue? I will give add it to the list for the development team to look at.
-
From what it seems like gathering information from other users, all of these issues are being caused by addons. Please remove all addons and delete your WTF and WDB folders entirely before trying to log into the game again.
-
Your best way out is to simply not use the addons giving you issues.
-
For other users on the forums who may be having similar issues - almost all of them seem to stem from addons. Completely remove/delete all addons and delete WDB and WTF folders.
-
The servers are now completely separated. One server will not affect the other server or the character versions. Everything on nighthaven is nighthaven only and everything stormrage is stormrage only.
-
Some users are reporting mail issues, but those are mostly related to them using the mailbox as infinite storage and additional bag space. For this issue I would recommend deleting your client and doing a fresh download and reinstall. I would also use the torrent links as people using those seem to be having more success.
