kalek 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2016 (edited) https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=798cant find the actuall page on wiki i found when i saw the guy having the title ingame. i kinda forgot my google searchterm for that night.i know your using ur honor system from wiki.anyone that played vanilla should know dishonored and the ranks withing that "rank" path never was added.dishonored kills never gave you a rank or benefits except draining ur rp thus decreasing ur rank. and making ranking abit more tedious. killerduki 54 Report post Posted October 3, 2016 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pF9yEZLB9jk http://web.archive.org/web/20060323055249/http://forums-en.wow-europe.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-pvp-en&t=24040&p=1&tmp=1#post24040 March 23 2006 PvP Ranks? There are 14 ranks for each faction. They're distributed on some kind of curve, so that there will be very few (1 in 1000) people with rank 14, whilst many, many people can be rank 1. Each rank has different rewards. Only 5% of players will be above rank 11 at any time. http://web.archive.org/web/20060410015303/http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/honor-guide.html April 10 2006 http://web.archive.org/web/20060413234404/http://www.wow-europe.com/en/pvp/pvp-article-part2.html April 13 2006 http://web.archive.org/web/20061108061909/http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/pvp/honor-system-faq.html November 8 2006 Penalties What sort of penalties are there for dishonorable behavior? We have recently implemented the first steps toward a Dishonor system. Trivial civilian NPCs such as quest givers and vendors give Dishonorable Kills to players who kill them, or who are part of a party that kills them. Are there any places where we can fight that will cause a negative honor gain if you kill the opposing faction? An example would be an Argent Dawn camp? Not at this time. However, there will be times at which players will be worth no honor. For example, when a player loads into the world by crossing an instance line or logging in, or immediately after landing from a flight, that player will be worth no honor for a short time. Are there any safe guards in place to prevent players from killing each other to climb up the ranks? For example, "you let me kill you and I will let you kill me" over and over again? That seems like it would be the fastest way to reach the top ranks of the Honor System.Killing the same player repeatedly will have diminishing returns, so it will not be worthwhile for either player. In addition to that, any players caught participating in behavior described above will be guilty of exploiting the game and will be dealt with accordingly. The system we have in place can track unusual patterns to help expose this behavior. What if guilds coordinate with each other to "trade" players to kill so they are not always fighting the same player?Any guilds caught participating in this activity will also be considered exploiting the game and will be penalized accordingly. If I gain the 5th rank, and I purchase the Bracers as listed in the chart above, what happens if I drop down to the 4th rank. Will I still be able to wear the bracers?Characters are able to equip gear obtained from honor rewards based on the highest rank that the character has attained in their lifetime. http://jabelsk.blogspot.mk/2006/03/wow-reborn.html Friday, March 31, 2006 http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Patch_1.5.0 Honor system Dishonorable kills - gained by killing a trivial Civilian NPC - now has a negative impact on a player's honor. Enough dishonorable kills will reduce a player's rank all the way to zero. http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Honor_system_(pre-2.0)?oldid=2806528 Patch 1.8.0 (10-Oct-2005):The percentage of players that may reach ranks 6 through 14 has been increased. Lower-level players should advance in the Honor System more quickly than they had previously (although this change does not affect the highest ranks they can achieve). Patch 1.7.0 (13-Sep-2005): Players may no longer purchase items that require a PvP rank unless they meet the rank requirement at the time of purchase. Patch 1.6.0 (12-Jul-2005):The honor screen now displays a bar indicating how far along your current rank you are (Scout, Private, etc). This will let you know whether you are moving towards your next rank or falling back towards your previous rank from week to week. There is a new "This Week" section of the Honor tab, which will display PvP accomplishments of the current week. The "This Session" section of the Honor tab has been changed to "Today", and will now display the entirety of your accomplishments for the day instead of the most recent session. Honor system reward items with a rank requirement will now require a lifetime "highest rank" of that rank, rather than requiring the character to currently have the required rank. Players rank 11 or higher can now chat in the WorldDefense channel. The WorldDefense and LocalDefense channels will now display your rank as well as your name when chatting. Evidence that there should not exist dishonorable Ranks , You can't go under 0 according to Patch 1.5.0 thus all the sources before shown that nobody mention or went under 0 or got any dishonorable title. Patch 1.5.0 (2005-06-07):Dishonorable kills - gained by killing a trivial Civilian NPC - now has a negative impact on a player's honor. Enough dishonorable kills will reduce a player's rank all the way to zero. Players may now see an "estimated contribution point value" in the combat log for an honorable kill. Note that this value does not take diminishing returns against the same player into account, and is therefore "estimated". "Team Contribution Points" has been renamed to "Honor" Added tooltips to the different elements of the Honor System UI. Players will see their last week's kill data in the "Last Week" section of the Honor System UI even if they did not achieve the 25 honorable kills required to gain standing or rank. Patch 1.4.0 (2005-05-05): Added.
