I would like to ask some questions about Questie.

I have a problem , the quest that are in the current zone that i'm in doesn't properly show up. And by that i mean the AVAILABLE quests is not showing on the world map

I picked up some quest that didn't show on the minimap, deleted them from my quest lsit, and then they started(the quest that i deleted) to show up on the mini map and world map, but the other quests available across the zone still doesn't show, EVEN IF i did put my maxlevel filter at 10 (which i should be the quest from lvl 1 to 20 in barrens)

http://imgur.com/a/4rNli

I saw the questie command, and there is nothing that seem to show the quest to show as a ! and quest objectives.

Also, is there a way to change the position of the quest tracker, anywhere we want to? to have it in the middle of the screen is ... annoying.

As for the tracker position, you need to hold CTRL+SHIFT to drag it. As for available quests, the minlevel/maxlevel settings are a bit iffy
(and also accept negative values) If you can't get it to work, try resetting the config.

Sorry for repost.

Firstly, thanks for keeping a great addon running.

Secondly

Is there any way to make the objective tracker bigger?, ive tried the /questie qtscale option, but nothing happens.

Kind regards.

I did reset the config, and it sadly doesn't work. I did try to /questie setmaxlevel 60 so i can TRY and see the ! in silithus or blasted lands, but they don't show up :(

Also, there is quests that show in durotar, so i did /questie setminlevel 0 so that they dissapear, and they don't!

I did toggle questie on the world map twice to see if it work but it doesn't :(

In the latest version there is a new tracker scale option, you're in luck! (/questie qtscale small|medium|large)

Currently no, but as has been mentioned before, v4.0 will have much more control over what kinds of objectives are shown/hidden (so yes it is coming in the future)

Well, something funky is definitely going on then. What version exactly are you using (sorry if you already mentioned this,) and can you try with only questie enabled in the addons list?

Hi All!

I have an issue with Questie on Elysium. To save my life I can't find a solution.

When I load in I see the Questie mini-map and map markers but that's it!

I can't get the Quest Tracker and Arrow to show at all!

I've tried previous versions of Questie, the Dev versions of Questie, I've tried reinstalling wow 1.12.1, I've tried removing all other add-ons. I read somewhere that Questie isn't yet compatible with languages other than English but I'm English and Elysium should support Questie right?

Please Help!

If you're using the default WoW Questlog then functionality is vary limited. Not all quests are trackable and you can only put up to 5 items on the tracker. Try Shift+Clicking a quest from the Questlog to add it to the tracker. Should tell you if there aren't any trackable objectives.

If you want the full potential of Questie I'd use EQL3. It will auto add quests to your tracker and you can track the max (20 quests) - doesn't matter if there are objectives that are trackable or not. You can put anything on your tracker.

THANK YOU!

I had to actively go into my quest log and shift click my active quests!

Is there any way to automatically add active quests to my "Quest Watch List"?

Would be a nuisance if I had to shift click each quest I receive.

The Interface Options setting in the clients config menu "Automatic Quest Tracking" only works with the default WoW tracker. Doesn't work with the Questie Tracker. Unless you're running EQL3 - shift+clicking is the only way to add an objective to the Questie Tracker.

Got a problem with quest tracking in questie. See photo. The quest tracking is at upper left side. Any way to reposition?

Indeed, but since he's on mac it will probably be command or option, one of the function keys with shift anyway.

Doesn't anyone read the Readme & FAQ? He probably can't pull the tracker out from under the player frame anyway... use this command.

Quote

Questie Slash Commands - use "/questie" to show the help menu in game.

- cleartracker: Resets the position of the QuestTracker and places it in the center of your screen.

@Jebo - It's not finding the last timestamp. Reload your UI. This is quite common on a fresh install. BTW... since you're starting out, if all else fails try /questie NUKE

Well, I did everything I've could find on internet. Reload UI, NUKE, cleartracker but nothing helps. That's why I put it here on this forum.

I dunno man... you'd be the first in thousands with this issue. Line 44 is this:

    if GetTime() - QuestieTracker.lastUpdate >= 1 then

...and the error says that QuestieTracker.lastUpdate is nil which means it can't find that value. This value is set Globally to zero at the top of QuestieTracker.lua on line 19. So this value being nil? Impossible. Unless there is another mod messing with this value which I find highly unlikely that another mod would be setting this value for: QuestieTracker.lastUpdate.

Where is your client installed? If it's in C:\Program Files*** then that might be your issue. The old Nost client had issues running from that protected directory and Windows might be preventing you from saving session variables. I would install your client on a second hard drive or in the root of your C: drive. Try running the WoW client as an Administrator.

... if none of that works try un-tracking everything then reload your UI.

Turn off EQL3 - un-track all your quests, reload your UI, then re-enable EQL3 and then try tracking some quests.

Are you running ShaguQuest or EQL3?

I have no idea either, WoW folder is placed on the desktop and I've tried to run it as Admin multiple times.
