Every heard of "Shaguquest" addon? its for questing

Hey, I discovered two addons usefull for leveling and such:

I used questie on nostalrius. I knew some people that used Shaguquest and were perfectly pleased with it. I didn't use them both, so I have no comparison. I can tell you some of the later versions of questie, for me were so bugged it was dreadful and Scamp appeared to have stopped developing it. I had to sort through older versions of questie to find a good one for me.

Shaguquest is great, but as far as I know it's not being updated anymore.

Questie is by far the more superior one if you just want a quest helper, however i have always used them both at the same time since ShaguDB have all them loot/mob dots on the map (when activated).

So combined these two addons will really speed up your questing.

I started ShaguQuest long time before Questie development has begun. In my opinion ShaguQuest has been superseeded by Questie, since Questie 2.0 was released, if you're searching for a questhelper alike addon.

 

Due to the fact that Questie does a better job in guiding you through quests, I started to improve the database features of ShaguQuest. It devlivers a nice to have database with spawns, vendors and so on, which is usefull in many aspects.

 

I always used them both together on Nostalrius while leveling and disabled Questie as soon as I hit Lv60.

 

As most people prefer Questie for quest guidance and I'm quite busy with "pfUI", there isn't much activity on the ShaguQuest project.

Thank you so much for your work Shagu! Your mod has always been amazing and people will continue to use it. As many have said the two addons do have different goals and different solutions

Also, I'm not sure if you or anyone else is aware yet but I've been working with Muehe to pull in new data to Questie using the same system you use, so Questie will soon benifit from the same good data (directly from mangos not wowhead) that ShaguQuest does. Long time coming I know but it also needs to happen for multi-language support.

Hey Shagu,

 

I used both Shagu and Questie, and though they both have their good properties besides some common/similar functions.

There are lots of players waiting for the latest updates of Shagu/Questie and they don't forget them at all.

 

As you say you're busying in in fpUI AddOn,

is it possible to bring the Shagu back to for the latest Elysium ? The multiple languages support might the best bonus for all of us!
