MC is open and as time passes, the other raids will be launched, the War Effort will begin and so on. But what patch will be running in the BACKGROUND?To clarify:I started out on a WoTLK private server some years back when it freshly launched. And altho only OS, EoE and Naxx was open to begin with - the server itself RAN the 3.3.5 a client. Meaning that it had all the class balances from the get go as WoTLK actually didn't have til the end. How will this new server do this?Will it have the 1.12.1 client in the background - meaning that right from launch there is more debuff slots on bosses, Boomkins CAN be played to a certain degree (And has Moonkin form even) and Shield Slam isn't a waste of life.Or will it run the same patch that was along with vanilla WoW on release and it will change / add content as time goes by per patch. Meaning that Druids wont have Moonkin form til later, debuff slots are more limited at the start and so on?Just wanting to ask as I see many people talking in lengths about at what rate the "patches" will be released but no talk about the "BACKGROUND" patch. 0 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Pottu 290 Report post Posted November 27, 2016 The game mechanics will be as per patch 1.12.1. The various patches focus mostly on items and instances available. Debuff limit will be 8 at start and raised to 16 in the appropriate patch. This means that druids will have Moonkin form and and Shield Slam is useful. Spells, talents, etc. will be patch 1.12 Item stats and availability will be patch 1.4 (for example, enchanting wands were buffed to be green and have higher damage in patch 1.9, but since items will be patch 1.4, they will be white and have meh damage) 8 debuff slots, increased to 16 once ZG releases etc. etc. Edited November 27, 2016 by gotmilk0112 0 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
