I just wanted to introduce myself to all of you WoW vets because honestly, I have never been apart of anything pre-MOP. I am 20 years old and when WoW was first released back in 2004, only 7 so it was a lot for me to take in at the time to really understand the game and my parents weren't about paying the $15 a month. I've heard about these private servers in the past and always was interested in them, but didn't know how popular they were.. I saw the old Nost from a youtuber (JonTron) who made a rant on Blizzard shutting it down and saw how popular it actually was with all of you. I have read the stories you guys have posted that you experienced back in Vanilla, and I am very excited to be able to experience how great WoW truly was and look forward to playing with all of you I see what is missed most is the first time playing, exploring the unknown and learning new things, I'm excited to have a first experience myself and eventually have my own stories! 0 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Ellipsea 36 Report post Posted November 29, 2016 Hello there fella. Leveling is quite a bit more difficult here then it was on MOP, but much more rewarding. Get in a decent guild that loves answering questions. You can go au naturel and take it as it comes old school style, or go get yerself some add ons for QOL improvements. Both ways are acceptable. Just a fair warning; Classes play different in Vanilla, sometimes more clunky and especially less streamlined, takes a bit more time to adapt. But as i can see, with your mindset you will fit right in. Dont get discouraged when its live and dont be too shy to ask for help on here. Anyway: Welcome! Sup Dev, come join Iron Edge on the horde. Leveling in vanilla WoW for the first time, your eyes are wide eyed and everything is new, even though its not technically new. The best game to think of Lvling most classes is by all means Dark souls, that is how Vanilla wow is. don't think of it as (IMA LVL FAST MEMES) think of it as, "Aright, pull then guy saved CD for X next pack.) bring a few potions etc it will drain you but you'll feel that reward. and of course, y'know Welcome if you're an ally i'll give you some bags if you roll old server.
