ZorMal 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2016 Hi guys, Got a question regarding my old account. I´m not 100% sure about the login I used when I played nostalrius the last time(December 2015). Is there a way to find out if my email is connected to a char in some way? Thx,
Weendoo 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2016 (edited) Hello ZorMal, E-mail accounts don't get connected to a single WoW character, but to the WoW account. If you are not sure about the user name of your account, you can always go and look it up at your e-mail, by checking the first message you received after creating the account, the one with the activation link. If you figure out the user name, but not your password, you will be able to recover it once the server is live, and the database is in place, along with the website. Hope this helps. GhostTiger 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2016 Greetings ZorMal, The majority of the most common questions are answered in the merge faq. FAQ: https://forum.elysium-project.org/index.php?showtopic=22883 Quote: Q: I forgot my password on Nostalrius, what do I do? A: Once the database is in place and the website is ready, you will be able to recover your account’s password. Q: What if I forgot my e-mail? A: We’re currently looking into solutions for this issue and will announce our answer publicly at a later date. Q: My Elysium character name is the same as on Nostalrius, what will happen? A: All Nostalrius characters have name priority. If your name is the same on Elysium, you will be required to change it before entering the game world. On launch day your other question and issue will be answered as swiftly as possible! Safe Travels, GhostTiger

If you did register your account at that time when Nost launched there was no first message neither an activation link. You simply put in an email-address and were able to play with your name/password. That´s why some people including me are not able to change their password again due to email-addresses used which don´t exist anymore. Garse 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2016 Ahhh I have a specific problem, so I'd just like to make you aware of it, in case there'll be a way to get my account back - I forgot my login, and I deleted the e-mail account to which it was bound (yahoo, after all the security lapses), I do know which e-mail address it was, though. I feel like crying now, Nost is coming back and then my memory fails T_T

Zappa 7 Report post Posted December 8, 2016 Pottu said we can login with our username and password. We just can´t change the password without the email. Let´s just play and hope they find a fix for us dude.
Ellipsea 36 Report post Posted December 8, 2016 Those first couple of months on Nost, we made accounts without any email verification. So, if you made it early on, there's no email associated to it. If you still have the original Nost install, go dig in the WTF folder for account name, but I'm guessing you don't have that : (
Patchi 4 Report post Posted December 8, 2016 Also, if you never deleted your client, you can look into the WTF folder, under accounts and see all the account names you logged in with. Then it's just a matter of remembering the password.
