Playing from China

Hey all, sorry if this question has been asked before (I'm sure it has), but I'm very interested in playing the new launch as a way to spend time with my brother as I live in China and he on the west coast of the US. I've read many places that there are a lot of Chinese players, but does anyone have any additional information about average ping levels? I know there are a lot of variables but a ballpark is sufficient. I'd love to be able to do this with him, but I also don't want it to be a frustrating experience full of lag either. Any details or experience regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

240 to 300 range depending on day / time of play should be expected.   I recommend spending some time looking into an add-on called Snowfall which will allow your ability to be used on the button press rather than button release, and some "stop-casting" macro's built into your abilities to help with any slight delays you experience.

Many Chinese players are able to optimize your network connection. I've heard that they had a ping 150-180 ms, using the program to optimize the network connection Baidu.

Judging by the host-name, and doing a reverse conversion, the location of the server is somewhere in Italy. Though this may not be the physical location, but it is where you'll be connecting to. Judge your ping going from that. I wouldn't say anything over 250ms.
