Zealotz 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2016 I disagree, I haven't seen as many people satisfied with retail as I have with Legion, for a long time. But that may just be because we know different people or frequent different internet places. Most people I know had good first impressions of the xpac and enjoyed the first few weeks but left because of the RNG legendaries and artefact grind + nothing to do outside of raiding and PvP being more broken and unfun than ever before. (I personally regret having spent money on it, for the same reasons and too much polish for too little good content)

I did legion for 2 months aswell (I'm a firm believer in not bashing expacs before you try them) and I agree 100%. The few hours of stress test the past few sundays were more fun than I had the entirety of my legion experience. It's laughable actually, now that I think about it. Lag, chat spam, DCs, not to mention it isn't even the live version - still more fun than legion.

Initially it was rather fun, leveling had a nice progression to it and the story and zones were quite interesting. Endgame was meh. But those that I know that continued to play are very happy, especially with the upcoming content and everything, Blizzard hasn't really failed in that department in my eyes, at least they're trying to deliver content more steadily this time around. Little too late for me, but they might just change the hearts of others.
Vryyce 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2016 Nothing to worry about. There will inevitably be a spike at the beginning due to the media interest but it will die down, it always does. Vanilla is an acquired taste that resonates strongly with some of us but it isn't typically enjoyed by the masses. This is why there will never be any retail Vanilla servers by Blizzard. The interest just isn't enough to meet or exceed the profit margins required for Blizzard to pursue it. Some of us Vanilla fans tend to wax a little hyperbolic about its popularity but that can be excused as just their passion getting the best of them. In the end, we are a vocal minority of an interesting MMO niche. There is nothing wrong with this, let others pursue their watered down retail gaming experiences as we will always have communities like this one to enjoy our game of choice.
