Reading the retail forums might be my new hobby

Recommended Posts

The last few days I have been savoring all the salt coming from the retail forums. The below is from a thread about the vanilla community.

For Example, "Some of you are nice, I know, but many of you really, really are not. I learned that the hard way. Ten years ago I would log off the game in tears because of how people treat strangers in WoW. So . . .a feeling of community? Not really."

or

"I don't miss the supposed community from classic. There's a reason barrens chat has a bad reputation. I don't miss dealing with jerk guilds who went out of their way to spoil the fun of anyone not in their guild.

I don't miss the supposed community that cherry picked raiders from smaller guilds, thus ensuring those guilds could never see beyond bwl, or Kara in BC. The people who were apart of that 'community' are why players were so quick to use the lfg tool when it was introduced."

There just has to be two different types of players I guess. I remember being so incredibly angry and frustrated while being ganked or because of guild drama but this added so much spice to the game. Barrens chats was so unique that it became its on cultural phenomenon, no matter how retarded it was lol.

The guilds that went "out of their way to spoil other peoples fun" were just people that had fun in their own way. The best pvp guilds were not the people that spend 100% of their time in BGs but the ones that actually went out and made life time enemies. As for the guilds that "Cherry picked" raiders from the lower end guilds, first of all its a competitive games and the further progressed guilds didnt want to lose time entirely gearing someone up again, second of all maybe they shouldnt suck so much.... just maybe.

Just little things like this make me smile and be so glad I am no longer playing retail, where everything is rainbows and candy.

Oh pls no

MMO champion is also good

"Most players, who say "We want Vanilla/TBC back" - have outgrown Wow. They're 30-40 years old men, for whom it's to late to play games, cuz toy cars aren't enough for them - they need real ones. They can't or don't realize it, or may be do it principally. Worst thing - Blizzard listen to them. Don't listen to them - they'll never be satisfied! And you kill game for players, who still enjoy it."

Havent tried MMO Champion yet. I will have to give that a shot too.

Dude as much as witty posts and fun answers can be found in the WoW official forums the MMO-C one sucks the fun out of you.

For your own safety you might want not tro try that
