Server Rollback/Honor reset

First of all wanted to say thank you Elysium for bringing the magic back to us!

So i have been reading that there will be a rollback to the day the server shutdown was announced.
This day, APRIL 6, is the same wednesday the PvP honor reset. an entire generation of PvPers got their r12/13/14 gear that day.
Will this gear be taken away from us even though we hit this rank and bought the gear the morning before Nostalrius announced its shutdown.

I hit Rank 13 the morning before they announced it, so youre saying i will be reverted back to Rank 12 and lose my Rank 13 gear??

Why would they would rollback to hours before they even announced the shutdown on facebook?

i would just be really surprised if they took people's r14 gear from before they made the announcement.
i really hope they wouldnt do that i worked months on that.

Well, I was 3 weeks from Grand Marshal, It'll be interesting to see if we get scrwed over since like you said, if there's an honour reset, we're all screwed. Do we all start at zero, or do we come back with the honour/RP we had accrued up until that point, that's the real concern.

I was on vacation when it all happened, and didn't even know until I tried to log on after I got back home. I thought I'd never see my toons again. I shouldn't be affected by any rollbacks.

I've posted about this for months with no real response. It's one of the only things left up in the air. I'm hoping to log in to rank 12 and finish out 13 in the next week.

Well hopefully they saved it and then made the announcement, Perhaps even waiting for weekly resets. To me that seems the most logical rollback point in time.

 

Also the week rollback is a misconception and stems from the time of the announcement and the close of the server.

The rollback is supposed to be like 1-24 hours or so from announcement.

The database will be from before the closing announcement. Do not ask for the exact moment, I don't know when exactly it was made. Safe guess would be anywhere from 1 hour to 24 hours before the announcement.

Yeah and later another admin posted (not digging it up atm) something along these lines:

 

...if you had an item before the announcement, you will still have it.  If you obtained an item after the announcement it will be gone.

 

 

I mean, the question will answer itself in 30 hours.  I am eager for this information as well as I obtained Band of Accuria at about 2-3 hours before the weekly raid reset.   Only second one I saw drop in a year.

Im in the same situation mate. At your phrase just swap "band of accuria" with "choker of the firelord" and u can feel me... Hopefully we ll not have any bad surprises tomorrow...

actually its more then 24 hours, if i recall it was around 48 hours.

I'm not sure where you are getting information from that implicates the rollback is before the pvp reset. they haven't clarified this yet.

Feels bad. I got an epic world drop the very moment people started spamming general chat that nost was shutting down.
