Holy Pala Healer

Recommended Posts

Hello! I used to play a BE Pala Healer on TBC/WOTLK-Cata and MoP. However, I never really played Vanilla and have no idea if I'm still viable as a healer for PVE, from 10-60 and into raiding. Is this possible, and where could I find talent specs/gear lists for this setup?

Thank you!!!

I really wouldn't recommend leveling as holy. Given your exp as a pally, you can get away with off spec healing. Depending on when you cam into TBC, you may or may not be familiar with down ranking spells, as an offspec healer you are going to have to master this to stay mana'd up. Raiding they are a necessity tank healer, once you get enough MP5, you will be the sludge that keep your tank alive.

Pally healer pumps the tank with fast small heals which fill the gaps of druids long big heals.    Coupled with Priest / Druid HoTs.   Priest do a bit of everything between fast heals or slow heals depending on the situation.

I enjoy Leveling as a holy paladin since I can always seem to get into dungeons as a healer, plus having the gear makes dungeon runs a breeze. (I use int gear early on and slowly move into + healing as the gear becomes available).

endgame dungeons and raids are awesome as a holy paladin for topping off players and making sure the tanks stay where they need to be so healer with longer cast times can hit the spot without fail.
