Connecting To Blizz Servers?

Recommended Posts

I just built a new computer and installed WoW onto it. I edited my file to set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org and I'm still connecting to Blizz servers. I even tried adding set realmname "Nostalrius PvE" and it's still not working. The install is complete and the game is loading...just not to the correct server. My other computer is still connecting just fine.

Anyone else have this issue or have any suggestions?

Are you using the vanilla wow client? The retail client will not work with the Elysium servers.

Here are the links to the client, courtesy of Kite:

Are you starting the wow.exe file in the Vanilla client directory or the WoW launcher? The last will attempt to connect to the Blizzard servers to update the game (so don't do that!)

@Fizzle as far as I know I don't have a retail client. I have only downloaded the 1.21.1 client and have only opened that executable.

@Mimma I don't have a WoW launcher. I'm accessing the WoW file located in PC>Local Disk>World of Warcraft Classic

Hi there,

Make sure to change the contents of your realmlist.wtf to "set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org" - without the quotations.

Try that and let me know,

I did that. My original post indicates this. Thanks for the response, though.
