After some discussion we have decided on our raid schedule: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, 7PM PST to 10 PM PST at the latest, during progression. I played an UD lock on the Nost 1.0 server up until it was shut down, but planning on rolling either a holy paladin or resto druid this time around (advice on either choice would be appreciated). Whether you go human or dwarf paladin you'll find plenty of people to run with in this group. I'm going human holy paladin myself and it wouldn't hurt to raid with multiple paladins. I have played rogue/ hunter back in vanilla and played all other expansions up until legion recently. I got bored of legion and decided to level in the Elysium PVP. Haven't really decided on what class/role but I have done OT/DPS(lock, feral)/HEAL(Priest,pally) in classic raids. This sounds like a kind of guild I would like to join. cybaster 31 Report post Posted January 6, 2017 Hi icedwards, Insane and DZL! icedwards, I've tried PJ1999 too! As I mentioned earlier in the thread. I didn't get terribly far beyond the lower leveled areas around freeport. Game really kicked my ass, but then again, I was primarily committed to something else at the time. As for your class choice, we've got, uh, 2 resto druids and 3 holy pallies at the moment, so you can really just pick your poison. I will say that in pvp, holy paladins are excellent kill deniers and can spam flash of light for days, whereas resto druids are more slippery and have some CC to work with. In PVE paladins are more of a staple healer and the druids earn their keep with innervate and combat rez. Insane, yeah man. We're light on hunters at the moment. Your friend can definitely join up and expect to raid, assuming all goes well. Would you make him post in this thread? That's my dirty secret to recruitment thread success - people follow people, heheh... DZL, amazingly, our token feral spot is still open. We only have two warlocks. As for healers, we're starting to look a little paladin heavy relative to priests, so I'd recommend priest - especially dwarf priest. We have 2 at the moment, and 3 would really let us cheese fear mechanics with low effort. I've sent all you guys PMs with our Discord server. Based on your description this guild sounds like a perfect fit for me. cybaster 31 Report post Posted January 6, 2017 Hi Clumsy. If you'd like to tank, the best choice bar none is Warrior. Paladins didn't receive the attention or the abilities needed to distinguish themselves as tanks in any way - you would occasionally find one off-tanking something, but there are no situations where you'd want a Paladin tank over a Warrior. I would not take a Paladin tank into raids unless I had no other option. On the other hand, our Feral spot still hasn't been claimed. The horrible and necessary rule about MTs oftentimes getting things first is still in, but I decided to give dedicated OTs a 10% DKP bonus to give them more buying power. The two-round auction system I devised ensures they'll actually get to use the bonus. I started playing MMOs back in the day with EQ starting at the end of the Velious era and then moved onto WoW when it launched. I mained a hunter through BWL then switched to priest for AQ and Naxx. I'm up in the air at the moment of I will be rolling hunter or priest but def one of those for launch. I still play retail pretty actively, clearing Mythic raiding content in WoD but I stopped recently due to moving around the country for work. Some of my best memories of any gaming experience has come from Vanilla WoW so I am excited to jump into it again. I'll only be able to make 2 of the three raid nights due to my work schedule but I will be pretty active in both PvE and PvP when I am on. I have some experience playing the class as I just recently joined nost pvp (24 druid) but I'm looking to re-roll with everyone else! I'm relatively new to vanilla but have played retail wow since Wotlk. I'll be able to meet all raid times and I'm prepping myself for the madness tomorrow! I loved my vanilla guild for the community, pvp, and downing raids. I got my rogue up to 52 on Nost before it got taken down and have been waiting for the fresh start server as the existing server is too far ahead. I was a big reroller then settled down and were in serverfirst international guilds. After TBC I was in semi-hardcre guilds, bot for the last 2 expansion I'm just casual raider (max 2 day per week). I know vanilla, but I need to refresh my memories, started here 2 weeks ago. I was always Alliance, my mains were Affli warlock and resto druid. I'm also a programmer, making light (non-GUI) addons since vanilla, mostly for myself and friends. My life is about WoW, and my other love: Potal 2. I'm one of the most famous (top 5) mapmakers for that game, so if you love Portal and custom maps then I'm happy to talk about it, I'm making custom maps (and editors) for games for 30 years now... I work from home, so I can be online anytime, but at the moment I'm just casual (a lil hardcore nolifer at the begining) :) On the new server I plan to start a GNOME MAGE, and as an alt (for rested xp) a gnome warlock a dwarf priest or a resto druid whichever needed. 0 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Harmless: If I could pick, I'd go with Dwarf Priest. We've got all of two priests at the moment, which just isn't enough. I'll keep the addon expertise in mind! I also like Portal 2, but not with the same passion. I play it with Cyrene on rare occasion. vandrex: All right, another pally! I particularly love them in PVP. There's nothing quite as frustrating for the horde as a wall of nearly unkillable, decursive spamming kill-deniers. We're getting close to a full 40. I'll probably aim for a body of 50 regular raiders (I'm a fan of starting on time, every time), and then I'll have to be changing my recruitment message. I've been playing WoW on and off since the start, but never get serious, usually life took over. Would probably say I'm on the casual side now, but depending on how things shake out maybe take it more seriously. I usually play melee characters in games, from EQ - WoW - GuildWars and such. I was a fury warrior but also have experience in tanking. I would like to be a fury warrior again however I am willing to go prot or whatever the guild needs me for. Some of our members are waiting until the dust settles to start playing - so many people have signed up for this server that the Elysium staff is considering a second one.
