Instantly disconnected

Hey everyone! I used to play on Nostalrius and decided to download Elysium after all the debacle... Whenever i enter my password i get instantly disconnected. I've tried and no matter what i type it's insta disconnected.. How can i fix this?

This could be due to a variety of problems. Try these:

Firstly, have you registered a game account here?: https://elysium-project.org/play

If you have, is the account verified? If you are not receiving a verification email, please register an account with a gmail as other providers are not going through instantly.

If you have registered your account correctly, are you using the vanilla wow client? You can download them here:

Have you edited the realmlist.wtf folder so that it says 'set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org' inside? Make sure that the file type is .wtf and not wtf.txt. If you are still having problems doing this, please download and replace your current realmlist file with this one:

Also, by "instant disconnect", do you mean you never get to see your character list?

 

If that is the case, then check the config.wtf file and verify the line beginning with SET realmname have a value of "Nostalrius PvP" or "Nostalrius PvE".

if this value is .e.g "QA Server", then the client will attempt to connect to the QA servers (which are offline) and you will get the Disconnected message.

Yup i can't get myself to the character list. I'll check the config wtf file but i changed the realm list to the ones the install instructions gave me

I've copy/pasted  'set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org' in the realmlist notepad btw

The problem is not the realmlist.wtf file - this seems correct. But if my theory is correct, then the config.wtf file is wrong. This file is located inside the WTF folder.

The only config file i found was in WTF and it didn't have a realm line at all. Should i add it? Or is the correct config file supposed to be somewhere else?

This is from my config.wtf file:

SET realmList "logon.elysium-project.org"
SET realmName "Nostalrius PvE"

 

There are many other lines (almost 50 lines), but you should locate and fix / insert at least the "SET realmname" one. Please let me hear if it works :-)

Did a CTRL F realm in the notepad, word wasn't found. I'll add those lines and update

It worked. I tried selecting a server it placed me in QA testing and now i can't connect anymore feelsgoodman

Ok, then fix the config.wtf again - when you connect and it suggest "QA server", then press NO. This should bring you to the realm selection screen.

After selecting a server the config file should be updated automatically.

Alright after fiddling with the config file it finnaly worked! Thank you Mimma for your help and patience :)

Hey Mimma,

 

I've just checked my config file and I have both realm settings in there already but I'm getting the same problem. I was able to log in and out all day yesterday with no issues but today it's just not happening.

Just to make sure I'm not being an idiot. When I go into the WTF folder, I have an Account Folder at the top and then a Config file underneath. There is not specific Config Folder. I have tried deleting it altogether as suggested in the other thread Seymore but still nothing.
