Dralek 5 Report post Posted January 9, 2017 (edited) Not sure how to report this, because I have no idea how the bug is achieved (or if it is legal)- but I have noticed lately a lot of people (when engaged in combat) perform an instant log-out to avoid getting killed. Happened against 3 people today, and a few more during the weekend. I'm pretty sure its an exploit of some sort, given that when forcing the client to disconnect (by alt+f4) the character should remain in place for around 20 seconds, so I can only suspect other methods to instantly logging out. To explain it clearly: while in combat against someone in world pvp, with them performing actions (like attacking or casting), when their HP gets low enough (and are seemingly about to loose the fight), they can instantly log out to void getting killed. This exploit is getting seemingly popular. Aside from the complications for world pvp, this can potentially result in an exploit to avoid death to mobs (avoiding repair bills and saving tons of gold in the process). Sundanc_r 19 Report post Posted January 9, 2017 i can not exactly tell how it has been on nost lately, but on some crappy private servers you can just alt+f4 and you are instantly gone off the game. maybe this also works here

Take screenshots, check combat log, report this into a ticket to Gms. Upload screenshots to imgur and add the link to the ticket. This way they can investigate and decide what can do to prevent it. Today it happened 2 times against the same player: he was at a farming spot, I attacked him (to get control of the spawn location), he suddenly dissapears. Like an hour later he re-appears, I engage him again, and when I'm about to deal the killing blow, he dissapeared while running away. Combat log showed nothing, because the player simply vanished from thin air, so its not like he gains/looses a buff or debuff, deals or recieves damage, or anything that would show up in the combat log. The only real way to catch them is by filming it. I'm mostly making the post to see if anyone else has encountered this, because it has happened to me against at least 5 people, in the last couple of days. So I can only presume that it is something that is becoming popular. Edited January 9, 2017 by Dralek

What is your class? if you left a dot on him you can check the combat log whether it still ticks after he moves away. Try to go where he was and try this again, film and send to GMs. Druid. Yeah he dissapeared while being rooted and with faerie fire on. I'll check the spawn location again tomorrow. But combat log showed nothing, no "DEBUFF fades from target", "PLAYER begins casting SPELL" or "PLAYER gains BUFF", etc. But he hasn't been the only person I saw doing this. Which is the reason I'm making the post, instead of a report (cause I have no evidence): if someone else has seen this happening.
