Region Lock New Server

Just curious how many people would be interested in seeing the next server region locked.  As in, US/EU, blocked VPN's and Chinese IPs.  The queue is obviously ridiculous, I can't rightly say how MUCH of it is actually due to chinese farmers/botters, but I know that there is probably a good lot of them.  I would love to see the next server region locked, and would even open up to making donations with others who were interested to see this done properly.  Seeing hordes of players with Xadikfhjasdju random names rubber banding with 400ms ping and clogging the queue to outrageous numbers is concerning, as I know MOST of us are here to play and enjoy the game and this kind of stuff really breaks the feeling of nostalgia.

I'm still trying to figure out how in the world the gold farmers already managed to get 80g or whatever on the new server.  I was on my lvl 8 druid yesterday and got whispered by a gold farmer selling 80g for $7 -annoying crap.

In regards to that, all I can say is that it seems the devs care enough to ban people for BUYING gold from these people but are too sympathetic to the Chinese to actually do something about fully resolving the problem, I.E., give them their own server, or give everyone else their own server.

You do not seem to understand the issue at all. It is not whether there are Chinese players on a realm or not. Gold sellers go where there is demand, regardless of region locks, VPN prohibitions or anything else. Claims that other private servers have managed to block gold sellers are exaggerated. Such methods only prevent legitimate players from accessing the game.

And we do ban gold sellers as well as gold buyers. The entire chain and everyone involved are always banned. I cannot fathom how this completely unfounded idea that we "allow" gold selling has come to be. Maybe it's because so few people really understand how lucrative a business it can be due to our tremendous population and the lengths of effort the gold sellers are willing to go to.
