Hello everyone,

As you all may know by now, all of Nostalrius's Accounts may be wiped clean. This is going to cause a lot of heartache and sadness in the community, because a lot of really great people will have their joy and happiness stolen from them, with nothing but a question as to why this had to happen. I'm not sure what the administrators of Nostalrius are trying to accomplish, but if they think Blizzard will release Legacy Servers, they are sadly mistaken. Blizzard is making hand over fist in sales with their new released game "Overwatch" and they are releasing a new expansion for WoW in the near future. Why would they invest time into a Legacy server when they have millions of players already? The answer is simple......They won't.

Elysium! I ask you to stand tall and plant your feet in the soil of Azeroth! You are the links that bind our chains and the light that warms our hearts! We live and breath this game into our souls and look forward to the moments when our hearts start racing and nerves start shaking as we are faced with challenges and when we have to look deep into our hearts and ask, "Do I have what it takes to overcome this challenge?" and the answer always is......"HELL YEAH!".

To wipe the characters would go back against what the Elysium team stated they wanted to continue- the legacy of both Nost and the vanilla server community. The only reason for one of the servers is to CONTINUE those characters from Nost.

Here's hoping Elysium has the willpower to not let their torch be extinguished. It was passed to them- and now they can make it shine as they see fit- not as directed by any others.

Yeah, seriously. People forget that the entire fucking point of this project was to revive Nost characters/accounts. That was the biggest reason; the "fresh" servers are just a bonus side project. All of the hype for this server was "nost relaunch! getting old nost characters back!"

 

...and not even 1 month later, they want to delete it all? What the fucking fuck. Something fishy is definitely going on here.

That's not the elysium team wants to delete nost characters. Read nostalrius official announcement http://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=45489.

so what? its too late to say "uh er, sorry, but pls give back what we've given to you it was a mistake"

its too late. they are playing with the ppls trust, a lot of time and passion was invested, they cannot undo this without losing a lot of respect, many players and pushing the legacy movement several years into the past

A decision has been made, my fellow comrades! Servers will be renamed and all characters will be saved. However; if you haven't transferred your characters over  since the launch of Elysium Project, all your data will be wiped and you'll have to start from level 1. All other characters transferred and created after launch will remain!

Great job, Elysium! I knew you would stand tall and protect our legacy!
