Not able to use more than one account at a time?

I just figured I would like an alt and thought i would boost him when I needed to. or leveling while w8ing for a full group on my main. when I tried to loggon on the seccond account i got instant disconnected and i understood that I was not allowed to use 2 accounts at the same time.
Is it my IP they are blocking for using 2 accounts? and if so how does more than one play at the same time who is behinde a hardware firewall which only display one IP out to the world regardless of how many PC's are behinde the firewall? that would scew up for the once who want to stay protected and still have more than one guy in thier household playing here. and besides that it's not realy blizzlike at all.

There is no functilanity blocking this, but what you are doing is bannable - multiboxing (playing mor than one character on same server same time) is not allowed.

alright i figured that I was instant disconnected because the server had to verify my account first, it took some time :) tho I wonder if im allowed to boost my self or leveling while w8ing for a full group on my main char?

I heared from other that u were allowed to join with 2 accounts to enchant ur self and stuff like that? not true?

That is true, as long it happens in a major city.

But you wrote "boost him" - which is not allowed.

Just for curiosity: Are your two characters on the same account? That would explain why you get disconnected!

No it is different accounts. the server just needed a few min after verification of the account to work. it works now. yes that would have been my seccond question about the boosting thing, thought it was blizzlike. but then i wont do it thanks for the information!

1 person playing each account does not get  banned.  1 person "playing" more than one account risks getting banned

But if it desplay as one IP as it do if u are behindea hardware firewall how would they know?

Visually obvious?  2 people playing from th same IP looks quite different from 1 player with a 2nd account on follow.

I dont wanna annoy any one but if 1 person play good enough on 2 accounts to look like actually 2 different players he wont get banned, and if 2 players play stupid enough on 2 accounts under the same firewall/IP they wil lget banned...

You know the rules.  Live within them.  Finding the line to skirt around it or push to see how far passed the line you can get is risking a ban.

Please don't try to find a loop-hole. We do not automatically ban for multiboxing, a GM will always verify the case.
