Went on a vacation - Everything is gone on both accounts.

This particular type of appeal I believe was usually made by people who paid the Chinese to Honor Farm or Power Level or Gold Farm with their account.

The Chinese concluded the agreement so that the customer was satisified, and then the account owner found themselves hacked.

I have zero sympathy for the OP. He got what he deserved IMO.

Been playing on Nostalrius since day 1. See these bullshit reactions everywhere. Bored kiddos like you who think they know exactly how things are. You most likely don't know the OP at all yet you seem to know exactly what has happened. 

Why don't you just do us all a favour and just go back to retail? ... seriously, you don't know the OP and tell him he deserves what happened? 

I could write you pages of how big an asshole you are being right now... but then again.. trolls shouldn't be fed.

Also, usually??? Well usually the people posting these hate posts on random topics are people who suffer from mental instability. The people who usually suffer from mental instability happen to have more than 1 issue. Usually people with more then 1 issue have autism. Usually people with autism hide from other people. People who hide from other people usually have social difficulties. People with social difficulties usually have a small penis. People with a small penis are usually insecure. Insecure people usually don't have a life partner.

So based on what we now know.... get off this thread you  insecure, small penis having autism rocking lifepartnerless  social reject.

My account was hacked this morning as well & I don't have a clue of how it happened. I do have 2-step verification on my email & nobody has ever been granted access to my email nor my account by me. Along with that, I used a unique password that I've not used elsewhere so there can be no possible leaks of it anywhere related to the email (which has been through 3 leaks but none of which this unique password was used). I find this very troubling on Elysiums part & the fact that they refuse to refund what you've lost or even look into the issue is saddening to say the least.

You say you where hacked even WITH 2F authentication that's offered here?

I didn't know there was an authenticator for this game alone, no. I have it on my email so it won't get compromised, then leading to my passwords being stolen.

The update is nothing will be restored.

The support by any means was great, and the guy i spoke to was really friendly.

I still don't have the knowledge of how a compromise was possible, as the credentials i used haven't been used elsewhere, but so be it.

I know many have the same issue as me, and we can only hope that they'll at some point see that we're powerless in this situation, and do something to help us.

I have raided with Skink since the beginning of Nost and I find this pretty stupid, since he went on holiday we have seen no one log into his account as it had shown he had not logged since his holiday in the guild tab (Which could have mean this happened shortly after he went on holiday but that does sound pretty fishy)

Then when the server had its name change and what not he logs back in with nothing...

Why when we are told to take things like this to the forum we receive no response from active admin?

It seems as though Elysium are deciding to not offering any support to the community who have being hacked since it has been made clear that the Elysium database has been hacked which has caused these issues, and in this case it has causes Skink to loose all his items at no fault of his own which the only support I have seen offered in relation to hacks is the repeated mention of changing the password frequently which was posted whilst he was on holiday and most likely after the hack or issue with your changes to the database.

Even if gold and mats could not be returned it would be nice to just be able to get his gear back rather than us now having a naked rogue in a tabard we have to boost through all content to get him back up to date ready for AQ again -.-

On another note it is nice to see a Lock can log into the horde side for around two weeks now and give himself full t2 and the spells from AQ, clearing current raids like it is nothing two shotting bosses and abusing BG's without a ban just showing the GM's do not seem to be taking notice lately as they shown with not giving a response or even any sympathy on the forums to people who have invested their time into this community since the beginning of nost, sound like Blizz talk to me sadly :/

First of all, the database of elysium never got hacked.

There was a data breach and some people were able to abuse it and gained access to an account that had powers to modify items/gold and create/modify characters.

 

So far 38 (last official number by the staff) accounts have been banned due to this. There was never a leak of account credentials. It simply was a security breach that allowed you to "hack" the specific account with the specific powers.

Also he was banned the day they took the servers down. Just because you've seen the video/screenshot of him hacking recently it doesn't mean its still fresh.

 

They're not ignoring the players and they care about all of them, they know its not really nice to tell players "sorry, we can't restore whatever you lost", but unfortunately its their policy. They simply don't have the time to look through every incident with hacked accounts, lost items/gold.

 

Account security is the players responsibility and if you fail at securing your account (like using different accountnames and passwords than anywhere else) its the players fault, not the fault of the staff. They're doing what they can, in their freetime, to offer 4 good and healthy populated servers. They also offer a really fast & good support, depending on your issue.

 

The only forums GM's actively monitor is the "Ban Appeals" section, which is obviously filled with ban appeals every day.

If you really want to discuss this issue further, even though all of you know the answer and policy already, you can contact the staff by creating an ingame ticket.

 

Reminder that you have to use "Stuck" > "Still stuck, page a GM" to create a ticket.

With this in mind it would be at least a little help to reset his quests for the Ony head and Nef but apparently that is also out of the question which is strange as even on Nost they would do this in these kinds of circumstances, as we have already started grinding his gear back....

 

It is alright to say about that the account security is with the users in question but still how can you confirm he has used the same credentials as on a different server and how his details did end up getting leaked then, as it is alright to claim that this had nothing to do with the hacks on Elysium or any bugs that could have occurred but without looking into it nothing can be clearly said, anyone can say what they think happened or what they want you to believe but you can never be certain...

Next your going to tell me that global warming does not exist because Donald Trump said so....

What the fuck is wrong with your reading comprehension skills? He got capwned and he should deal with it and STFU like the rest of the players who got hacked.

I don't get why has this evolved into such a huge drama.

Your friend got hacked because he is a moron. There's many stupid things he could have done but he might not be telling you, like pay the Chinese to gold farm, honor farm or even tried to sell his account to the wrong guy.

Now, I don't give a fuck what he did wrong, but he should just change password and enable 2FA and you should cry me a river, build a bridge and get over it.

All the things you listed are pretty pointless when we have farmed with him and know he did not need any of these services.....

p.s if you also was not lacking reading comprehension skills you would also see that I said we are grinding his gear back.

Well thank you for the unnecessary insulting, i've been raiding and doing dungeons for over a year with these guys, i wouldn't ever need any services or will need, all the "services" i need is in our guild, which means a bunch of good people ready to support you.

I never did anything which would have my account vulnerable to any sorts of compromise, and how it's happened will remain a mystery.

But please refrain from having to insult, and get yourself some manners - we're adult people.
