Questie Error Need Help

Hi All,

I keep getting this Error when i'm using questie:

I use the latest Version 3.66

I deleted all other Addons and i reinstalled WoW Classic. Nothing worked for me.

 

Please Help me :)

so its V 3.66

You're running Elkano's QuestLevel AddOn. My understanding of how that works is that it modifies the quests in your quest log to show you the level in which the quest should be done? I could be wrong but any AddOn that makes changes to the Quest Log frame can break Questie since we rely on data in the Quest log to make matches and to draw stuff...

As i said i turned off all other AddOns an that Error still exists

Delete your !questie.lua in your WTF/Account/ServerName/Player/SavedVariables and try again. You may want to backup the file first.

If I had to guess it looks as though you might have conflicting versions of ACE libraries. This is a common problem in Vanilla since some addon authors are back porting AddOns from BC to work in Vanilla.

If you disabled all your AddOns and you're still getting this error then yes... NUKEing your saved variables file should clear it up. Back up your file first and try with a clean install. Then enable your AddOns one by one to find out which one is causing the error to trigger.

Personally I wouldn't go that far. I would start with the culprit and that is !questie.lua and then go from there. :)

Running "/questie NUKE" is the same as your suggestion to delete his characters Saved Variables file.

Also, I forgot to mention. The error suggests that you're running a German Client or have your locality set to German which is causing the error. Currently Questie only supports English. Aero is adding localization support to 4.0 for other languages.

so i should try it with a english Client?
