rogue in pvp

Now i can 1v1 people in the open world, even helped kill a ?? hordie but battlegrounds are a whole new story. lvl 37 gnome rogue. I dont have much to say, it just feels like junk lol. I cant do any damage and when i do i get peeled off so easily its a joke...when i come out of stealth 10000000 horde vurtne/1000000 orc warriors and hunters pop out, apply another hamstring/conc shot and i just die with full energy. Thats just so overpowered, say as a mage or a hunter he can just sit there in the back going 20+ kills with minimal deaths while i have like 4 kills and 4x the deaths

Also do you open up with cheapshot or ambush? Both are good, I had some 500 ambush criticals on people with the SM dagger/gnomer dagger combo, sub rogue max dmg glass..have prep already...improved ambish... I am using a mix of agil/str/stam gear, no i am not say using spirit or intel gear i know what i need lel. Also cheap shot is nice too but i dont know ambush is just so rewarding if you can line it up...some warrior was sitting down trying to heal up and then bam!

it sucks, i was hoping rogues are as overpowered as that roguecraft video claimed them to be, and i have blue instance gear, but mages and hunters kill me so much i just want to reroll& ragequit right now(yep posting this cuz i just died; but its not happening since i am close to 38 at this point). I am also gnome so i have that extra racial to get out of mage shatter/hunter slow ,which i can 1v1 but in a group fight i just feel so useless

So you can kill horde 1v1 without any complaints and that's fine, but when ranged classes can kill you in group pvp because you don't know rogue's role in there, "that's just so overpowered"?

I'm sorry watching an irrelevant old pvp video didn't make you king of the solo and group pvp without even trying.

Here's my friendly advice. You have 2 options:

1) Accept that fact that every class has their strengths and weaknesses, and just because you die in group pvp doesn't mean rogues suck or that ranged classes and orc warriors are OP. It means you need to learn how to play rogue better.

2) Reroll a hunter and then make a forum post how everything's op because you don't know how to deal with deadzone. Reroll mage and complain how warlocks or feral druids or w/e are op. Reroll orc warrior and complain how mage's are OP.

Yeah, rogue's strength in pvp is 1v1 straggler kills.  If you watch the old roguecraft videos, you'll see that most of his kills are 1v1 open world takedowns.  Then he complains that "rogues suck" (jokingly of course) because they can't do AV because of all of the group pvp there.  (which is not true, you just pick off stragglers and back cap or rush the towers, taking them from the archer deadzone).  It's all about picking your battles, and avoiding the high armor classes unless you can maintain control and remove their armor.

Though, if you can pair up with another rogue, or even a druid, one can stun and the other can ambush and just do 2v1-2 straggler fights.

A rogue is exactly that dude, roam around and pick off the guys that are out of place, on their own or escape a team fight. It's seriously easy pickings.

Rogues have the stealth advantage so make the most of it, play clever don't take risks that aren't worth the pay off and support your team by picking off members of the other team. 

That doesn't mean you can't still play as a team you can still support someone who's trying to complete an objective or slow down the enemy - you just have to think your plays through better

Wowow Rogues are extremely useful in BG's.

 

You only have to understand one thing to be good:

 

You are not a warrior, so don't play like one.

 

Rogues are exceptionally useful in BG's, with stealth we can bait enemies into attacking odds they think they can win, only to find out that 2v2 is actually a 3v2. We can sap, and make  that presumed 2v2 a 3v1. We can chain sap on flags of AB, we can sap people coming to chase our flag carrier, stun them, crippling poison multiple people to slow them down. We can sap one, and then blind someone else for 10 seconds.

 

Basically what rogues lack in the survivability department compared  to our tankier melee counterparts.. is CONTROL. We have 'so' much control in how fights play out, you just need to play your cards right, because a rogue is a deck of cards. We need to use strategy to win skirmishes and objetives, to ultimately win the battle.

 

In addition, if your daggers you can sometimes instantly take a clothy out of the fight, how do you  think they feel about rogues when we do that? Or you can go combat or hemo, and go full cc stunlock, the opponent won't even be able to move while you and your team murder them. I just did an AB in the 30-39 bracket yesterday and came out with the most kb's at the end of the match.. like 16.

Cheap shot and ambush depend on what build u are with.Daggers u open with ambust and sword u open up with CS.

People like daggers but me personally i like swords.Dagger's burst is at ambush and backstabs which is good with MAGES and cloth but terrible against mail/plate.

Sword on the other hand with adrenaline rush and flurry is insane burst on plate geared people but harder to kill mages since stuns is useless against them and popping adrenaline-->ice block

 

Rogue is a extremely hard class to play.With whatever spec , u need to manage yourself.Every rogue knows if a lock puts a DoT on u then its gameover since u cant stealth.

People think rogue is OP cuz of prep and all the cooldowns but if u dont know how to use them then u are setting yourself up for failure.

 

This is nothing new anyways , 90% of the people playing on the pvp server dont even know how to PvP.
