Weather effects problem

Hi guys, something affecting my game play experience. Although i turned off weather effects and set weather density 0, upon logging in all is fine for a  couple of seconds, and then sort of grays out and looks ugly and washed, especially noticed at night. Is there a fix, no weather effects and nice clear textures? Tnx! Btw, I am new to Vanillla and enjoying it and loving it. So much better and more challenging than retail... A multiplayer game, as opposed to the single player retail WOW... Keep up the good work!

Here it goes aagain this evening.  Sometimes all nice and clear and shiny and vibrant,  and then bleached and greyish?  Can this be turned off completely?

Put intensitiy on the middle or 1 tick lower, looks fine for me.

I know what are you talking about, I guess. Its not about the rain, but that stupid washed foggy effect when its raining and sometimes when not? If this is what are you asking for, no you cant do nothing about it. That fog has nothing with weather effects

hrYep,  thats it.  Foggy and bleak and sometimes its the same as retail.  A guy on u tube was comparing Vanilla Loch Modan and retail and said how retail got improved,  which is nonsense.  The graphics are the same,  just in Vanilla there was this stupid fog when he was recording.  No wonder they removed it later... I thought it could be turned off though :(

there were no weather effects in the patch we are currently playing! they were added with patch 1.10! thus, REMOVE THEM NOW!

I still dont get it how they failed to add that option in video settings. When you enter redridge for example and weather is clear-its so colorfull. But when its rain and fog, looks like....

I agree with the orgiinal poster. The weather effects turn my screen into a washed out grey look. It's horrible. 

Another problem is that this continues when you are inside a building such as an inn.

Also, there is far too much rain right now. It never used to rain this much in vanilla WoW.

Devs: please reduce the frequency and duration of rain.

This is not the true and this is not the same thing. Stop messing up weather INTENSITY and effect. When you lower that options, its still raining but with less rain drops, there is still sound of a rain and there is still that shitty fog effect. 

And I agree, there is too much rain

I turned it to 0 and have not seen or heard any rain at all.

There's only a few spots where that's really noticeable, IIRC. And even so, I'm pretty sure it's just hard-coded into the game, there's no real way to change it without modifying the MPQs or the client.

 I love the heavy rain & fog weather when it hits, it really changes the whole ambience and mood. 

I think the rain and fog is also very well made.

i also dont get why ppl would remove weather effects. they add so much more atmosphere to the game

iirc its just raining too often in some zones. afaik, this is a common mangos-bug. not sure if fixed here

It wasnt like this in Vanilla retail, but lasted for like 10 min tops.   i played  vanilla since day one till they ruined the zones in Cata not missing a sub.  This cant be nice.  It is all washed out and grey and view distance is awful till it lasts....  I would like to know if it can be fixed or at least reduced to happening sometimes as was in retail Vanilla please! It has nothing to do with weather effects.  I turned those off via slider and console as well.  Nothing helps.  There is no rain but "fog"  stays lot  loner and is more frequent than when introduced to Vanilla. This simply must be one of the private server quirks...
