Tholren 7 Report post Posted January 27, 2017 I enabled the two-factor authentication to maximize the security of my account. I will, however, be spending two days outside of home on a lan party with some friends, and want to play whilst there. I understand that the 2FA basically only allow my IP to play, correct? If that is the case, how I can safely enable another IP?
gotmilk0112 10 Report post Posted January 27, 2017 (edited) I'm assuming that if you connect from another IP, you will be asked for the authenticator code. Most likely through the website, because the vanilla client doesn't have support for authenticators. I don't play from other IPs, so I haven't gotten a chance to test my 2FA yet. Tholren 7 Report post Posted January 27, 2017 So, it shouldn't raise any problems other than getting the authentication code?
gotmilk0112 10 Report post Posted January 27, 2017 Yeah, as long as you've got your authenticator, you shouldn't have any problems.
Guest Report post Posted January 27, 2017 As long as you've selected the 2FA option to only request authentication when your IP changes, you'll be fine. Tyche
