Cant get the game to work

Hi just downloaded the game and set the realmlist thing and then i pressed play, then a small window came up and i pressed "No" b4 i realised what i was doing. then the the game popped up with no image. I dont see anything on my screen that is wow related but i do hear the wow sound and have the icon that the game is active. Is there any1 who knows what to do. Would love if some1 knew what to do=)

Do you see the main menu screen still? 

Delete the entire WTF folder, then re-open wow

i dont see the main menu screen, when i start wow then only thing that happens is that the sound works

dont work, i have the problem in that link that describe i dont have an old DX version but i downloaded it and installed and there was no difference at all:(

After you've done thee things:

Make sure you are operating as administrator.  Right click wow.exe and set to administrator.  Make sure you are launching from wow.exe and not any launcher if you have one.  If the wow folder is in program files, move it out of there.

You can right click on the WoW.exe and set to use recommended settings, if that doesn't work, right click and start trying other settings like win8 compatibilty mode.

aww maaan Ellipsea just cause u said windowed i started to roam the webz, so i made a shortcut of wow.exe and entered -opengl and -windowed in the Target for the shortcut and now it works=) thanks for the help guys

I am having an issue getting the game to run. I've tried everything I've read so far and still nothing. Everything is correct it just wont let me connect to any server or log in. Just get the "disconnected from server" status every time.

If you've done every available fix, turn everything off including router and restart.

I tried a restart minus the router. Maybe I'm just missing something small. I have not tried to run it windowed. I'm not exactly sure how to do that. other than that i have tried just about everything else. i will try the router and restart again. before running the game i'll try to delete the WTF file as well and run it as admin and let you know what happens. if you know how i can run it windowed i can try that as well. thank you!

these usually fix 95% of the problems:

Does your realmlist.wtf say: set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org  ?  if not, use notepad to write that in there.  If it already did, you can try using the IP address instead: set realmlist 164.132.233.125

the other suggestions above, were specifically for the blank screen problem, not for not being able to connect.

It is saved in its own folder on the c drive. i tried changing the realmlist to the ip address and that didn't work. i guess it just doesn't want me to play :( such a bummer!
