Question about Dps/Healer Spec

Hey forum,

i assume you're going to find dungeon groups way more often as a healer than just as a damagedealer. interrupt me if this isnt correct.

So, i was thinking about leveling a character as dps/healer hybrid-spec - or at least i'll try to! Is that possible?

The only classes that make sense are Priest, Paladin, Shaman or Druid - i was wondering if anyone could help me decicde. Maybe keeping levelspeed, needyness in a group/raid and so on in mind.

And please don't tell me, "play the class that is fun 4 u" - i already did. (Mage) Now I'm looking for somethinh new and some help from you guys! I would appreciate it.

All those can Heal 5 mans while leveling even as a dps spec. I would say that for speed and how easy it will be to level Druid would probably be the fastest with travel and cat form. I have a Priest level 50 and she is Shadow and it is easy to heal any 5 man so far. IMO I would rank the classes like this for ability to heal and level fun even as a dps tree.

Druids get cat and travel form and stealth very nice for a PVP server

Priest are just great healers even as shadow but you will be using your wand a tun.

Shamans are great fun and have totems, shocks, and purge very nice to level with as enhance or elemental still being able to heal (not sure how they do past BRD healing as a dps spec I have not tried it that far)

Paladins I am 100% not sure I leveled mine as a tank but out of all the healers it just seems to me if you are Ret it might be hard to heal later zones?

Yes, i was thinking the same 'bout Druids and Priests. I also do believe, that Paladins gonna have a hard time 50+ healing off specc/gear..

I think i'm going to roll a Priest because the idea of keeping 2 sets of gear as a shaman is awful to me. It is easier to keep/get a good up to date level gear for dps/healer specc as a priest i suppose..?

Hah no, anything that is DPS for a priest has to be wrenched from the teeth of a warlock, or the bowls of a mage. No guild gives priests gear, you will only get it for DPS when they let boomkins get DPS gear.

Goahead and tell that mage or warlock you need the Tear of Neltharion more than he does and wait for their response; even though you *do* for guild progress in naxx on instructor razouvius.
