Immediate disconnect

Good evening,

I installed the game for the first time this evening and set everything the way i was instructed.  I created an account, downloaded the game, changed the realmlist.wtf text document, and tried to log in. But after I put in my username and password it immediately says disconnected from server. Ive tried running it as admin and Ive tried setting the compatibility mode to windows 7. Any advise?

go in to thewtffile and thin in to config and switch the realm name to Anathema the part u should switch is in the mid some where

make shore u do the realm name and not the set relmlist for this part .i had the same prob and this worked for me

also once in game dont switch  to ely server because cause it will dc u rightaway agin at least for me it is right now and u will have to do the realmname switch agin if u do

What if you are playing on the Elysium server? Do I still switch the realm name with Anathema?

yes but see the prob is i dont know when they will fix this random dc cash u may not be able to play on the server ely till it is fixed.

Because even after switching the realm name if u try to switch realms in game back to the ely  u get  dced right away.

So other thin playing on a diff realm till this is fix or just waiting is up to u.

I am having this same issue.  I have used this computer to log on to Elysium previously without problem and today all of a sudden I get the automatic disconnect error displayed above. 

I play on Elysium and I tried changing server name to Anathema and was successfully able to log in, however as mentioned above was automatically disconnected when I tried logging in to Elysium.  Any thoughts here on my options? I use 2FA.

play around on a diff server till its fixed or find something else to do till its fixed only thing i can think of .Hard to say how many people are affected by this if its not a lot it may not get fixed for a wile if there are bigger bugs affecting more players and what not .But thin agin i dont know how the people that fix this kind of thing think or on a todolist where this would fall for them.

I have not seen any thing about this yet from the devs on any post it may very well fall in to that ely is just getting ddosed agin and something broke.

I was able to fix this issue by editing the config file in the WTF folder.

Go into the document and add the following lines.

set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org
SET realmName "Anathema"

What if I want to play on the Elysium realm? After doing so it properly connects me to Anathema, but once I change realm to Elysium, the problem returns.

I am having the same issue. I just opened an account, changed the realmlist.wtf to logon.elysium-project.org.but it gets disconnected from server. I even tried to ping logon.elysium-project.org it doesnt respond. Can some one help me.

I am getting auto-dc'd as well.  I downloaded the nostralius warcraft 1.12.1 client.  changed the realmlistwtf as instructed.  No go.
