Kambo 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2017 This non-preventable griefing must end. I've had contact with Gms calling it a "community matter". When the guild the mage is in endorses it causing the player no set-backs whatsoever there is nothing preventing them to keep doing it. Going back at a later time/other place is impossible with mobs such as devilsaurs and same-faction pvp is of course not allowed, so there is seriously not a single thing possible to do to give the mages doing this a consequence. Any other better ideas? The situations where polying a non-tagged mob for good compared to the massive amount of griefing with the method isn't even comparable.
gotmilk0112 10 Report post Posted February 16, 2017 Would be a nice idea, but will never happen due to "NOT BLIZZLIKE!!11!"
Geirot 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2017 This will prevent the possibility to help if someone is in trouble. Makes no sense to stop people from doing damage on a tagged mob, freezing a mob and so on. So it would be strange to stop just polymorph.
SaintPaul 1 Report post Posted February 16, 2017 Its out of hand. How about just stopping the health from resetting?
Geirot 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2017 That would make poly extremely powerful for misuse.
SaintPaul 1 Report post Posted February 16, 2017 It already is extremely powerful for misuse, that's the problem. This change means people can misuse it to help though, instead of being a di*k.

Chain banishing mobs that your own faction is attempting to kill has been considered griefing, and chain sheeping certain mobs has also been considered griefing.

So now if someone decides to grief your devilsaurs you can do absolutely nothing about it--even with crossfaction friends. Outstanding.

Do you know the meaning of the word? You're retarded mate. You suggested polymorph not resetting the HP of the target. You legitimately can't figure out how that would be abusable. You said you moved to darrowshire to get away from the griefers, without realizing that a non-pvp flagged character is unstoppable for griefing.
SaintPaul 1 Report post Posted February 17, 2017 (edited) Sigh. Yes it's fairly obvious how it could be abusable and fair point, It's not the best solution here. (I didn't mean apply it in raids etc) You could of just pointed that out instead of insulting me, twice, but whatever. My other point remains valid though. which is In it's current form it is abusable and often used. OP had right idea. Stilbo 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2017 I agree with the OP. Once a mob is tapped it should not be sheepable. I don't even play on a PVP server and what is going on with the professional farmers using this is wrong and disruptive to the spirit of WoW.
Tinkler 2 Report post Posted February 18, 2017 9 hours ago, Flyheal said: this isn't the problem though, the problem is that the rate at which mobs that get poly'd regen health at is not blizzlike at all, sometimes a poly'd mob regens hp within the half second of being polymorphed. That's very blizz-like. When you poly something, it immediately gets full life. Not being able to poly a grey mob would be a good idea. We already have it so I can't cast blessing of salvation on people outside of my party, and I'm reasonably certain blizz did that to stop griefing. It prevents paladins from putting that on hunter pets so they constantly lose agro.
Owondyah 8 Report post Posted February 18, 2017 Quote Below is a non-exhaustive list of suggestions that you should not bother posting: Dual-spec Removed / reduced re-spec costs Dungeon finder / group finder Name / race / class / faction / appearance change services Any Pay-To-Win services Increased XP / Gold / Honour rates WoD models or allowing players to edit game files Above quote is from sticky post in Suggestions section. This suggestion is nowhere near on the list and if you ask me, it should happen. It's an exploit of game mechanics used to get unfair and unrealistic "advantage" in pissing people off. +1 from me
