Multiple Word Names

I understand that the original game had technological limitations. But things have moved on a pace in the last 12 years.

Any chance you could make it that we could have multiple word character names by allowing spaces? Or even just hyphens and capitals?

The original game may have had technological limitations, but this is something that Blizzard does not allow even now.  They may have some weird reason as to why they don't.  One of the main purposes of the server is to fulfill its role of being "blizzlike" - this means that this wouldn't really fly.  Personally I'm not a fan of it, looks tacky, though I don't see the harm outside of taking up an unknown amount of time and not being blizzlike.

I remember years ago watching some screenshots from the Korean Beta and they were allowed to mix big and small letters in their names, it did look really stupid tho, not sure if that´s part of what you mean :)

If its becouse all the "good" names are taken, I think a better solution would be to make it so if you havent been logged in to a character for X-amout of time you get flagged for rename and the name is back up for grabs :)

I could get behind that second idea. Though I think it would be more fair to limit it to low level toons.

Just to clarify I´m also against having big/small letters mixed in the same name (and stuff like that)

I don´t understand why it should be limited to low level toons tho, If you havent been logged into a character for lets say 1-2 months, Thats a really long time on a private server that runs on a month to month basis, it doesn't take much effort to log-in and out if you wanna keep your name.

But that´s just my opinion :)

Really I just mean allowing spaces and forcing a Cap AFTER a space, so we can have proper names like "Dave Demonkiller" or "Bob The Brave" (or mine 'Third Of Herne) etc. NOT for allowing things like "DeMoNsRuS". Obviously with a sensible character limit. Hyphens would be a good alternative to spaces.
As to not being 'Blizzlike' NPCs have names like this.

WHY are you sure I'm a troll, I'm perfectly serious? It's hardly a contentious issue. I've wanted this since WoW began.

Your troll censor needs calibrating.

It still wouldn't be blizzlike since we are talking about character names instead of NPC names.  Though I always wished I could have a troll with an apostrophe in its name.
