12-15k is the ideal population for a WoW server for PVP to feel alive

TOPKEK. Real Vanilla WOW was limited to 2.5k per server (one-sixth of what you claim) and PVP felt anything but "dead."

Kids these days!

Yeah, 12 years ago myself and the rest of the server could play WSG all day after highschool. I could do the same now, I would just have to give up on my professional ambitions to play WoW instead. I think the demographic of the game has changed over the years.

Anyway, I've played vanilla WoW for about 4 years now, and any server with < 2k population has had AV only pop on AV weekends and sometimes on a saturday after 1-2 hour queue. At its peak on Nost, AV popped every 5 minutes with 2-3 games going on at a time.

You'd be surprised how many unemployed people there are playing WSG all day (not even going to HS during the day) on Zeth'Kur right now. Haha.

Don't worry, I am not one of them.

Much agreed about the demographics though. The median age of WOW players in Vanilla was something around 23 (nearly half undergrad and HS students) and today it is probably 30 (maybe 25% undergrad and HS students). Just rough guesses.
