Account was hacked

Good day administration. My account was hacked yesterday. What can I expect in my situation? Items have been sold without which there is no sense to continue to play. Please help me. Thank you

Nothing, absolutely nothing. Sadly. But using 2FA became a MUST for everyone.

So, you managed to get yourself hacked. Grats.

Change password and enable 2FA to avoid getting hacked again in the future. Instructions are in my profile's "about me" section.

None of your gear (except quest items such as Rok Delar or Benediction) and none of your gold will be restored.

Make a ticket to get back quest items but make sure to include link to realmplayers proving that you had them.

And why is not possible to just rebuild my account from backup logs? I do not even need to return the gold, At least just return my stuff please. I have no desire to dress again, this is really terrible. 2FA i was activated now

Server policy. They don't return your stuff. Read TOS.

Multiple reasons. It would take alot of time and work for the elysium stuff to find and confirm everything you had. Second, with the amount of stupid people not protecting their accounts and getting hacked, every server would've been flooded tons of items and gold because the hacker got the items and gold AND you are getting the same stuff magically back into the world; duplicating items n gold.

And why not take some time to players who have been hacking, at least it will bring including your favor, because you can keep track of where the gold was transferred in order to track down the attacker. I chose your server playing and enjoying. I had never been subjected to cracking in WOW. Please do not misunderstand me. I really want to continue to play on your server. With respect

Myeah I understand your point, I agree that could work fine. The sad thing is, they just don't have the manpower for it, the team has to do this all in their free time. Theres alot of other things that have a higher priority.

I'm sorry pal :( nothing much that can happen. Just know you are safe now with the 2FA, I'm on a account username and password which is the same as I've used on 2 other projects (THIS IS VERY STUPID TO DO THOUGH.) and I haven't been hacked yet. I also put 2FA on my e-mail for extra security.

I have lost the desire to reach a knitted fact that it was. I still do not understand this administration's attitude towards the players have been subjected to hacking acc when your hand does not cost anything to help us. I was hoping that you are more loyal to react to this issue. But all the same thanks that have responded

Imagine they restored your gear. You would be a happy man - but it would open up for massive abuse: People would "get hacked" and just sell their stuff, send the gold to their secret account and get new fresh gear for free.

GM's are doing this voluntary; they have a huge ticket queue already. How should they ever get time to investigate each hacked account, check for abuse or restore gear?

Therefore they do not restore anything - it is directly written in the rules, which you should have readen before creating an account.

The good news (for you) is the account is "only" hacked - not banned. You can relatively easy obtain new gear and continue from where you left.

The account owner is responsible for the security of the account and that it's sufficiently protected. Note that Elysium staff does not recover hacked accounts.

Elysium staff will not recover any lost or deleted characters, regardless of circumstances.

Game items such as experience, gold or equipment that you have lost through accident, very rare failure of the server, or otherwise, cannot be restored

I am sorry OP this sucks for you. Make this a post in general, go in detail about the shiny stuff you had and the time spent, remind people this is WHY 2FA is a must. 

The attitude is 'Nah I wont get hacked my password is strong enough' I assure you it is not. But with 2FA it is. 

 

Not just OP either. EVERYONE who gets hacked should do the same.
