BogyOne 2 Report post Posted February 28, 2017 Hello, I'd like some info on what information is secure and what steps we need to take to ensure safety of accounts and personal data in light of recent events like core leak. Reason is simple, soon after the shit storm in internet started and turmoils in staff happened I started to experience regular disconnects every few minutes in entire household. Reading today that core leaked I really want to know - what else? E-mail addresses, passwords, IPs used to connect? Please be honest and alert us asap what safety measures we need to take, even in form of ingame mail or server messages. For many of us there is more at stake than Vanilla WoW account... Thanks! Bocephus 1 Report post Posted February 28, 2017 I think they've made mention that no login information or anything of that nature was released during the leak. A couple simple steps would be: Make sure you have 2FA enabled on your account Use a different login name and password then you normally use for other websites such as your online banking, websites where you pay bills, etc. Change your password regularly That's really all I can think of. Hope that helps!

They have stated before that they won't change account email. Due to security reasons, account trading and such I would guess.
BogyOne 2 Report post Posted March 17, 2017 Thank you for reply, I've hoped that after db leak I could change both email and password and turn the leaked info useless.

The core was leaked not the db. Not the account info part at least.
