azrA 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2017 Tried everything I could think of before posting, but I cant seem to get my addon button to show in the character screen.. all addons were put in Program files-->Interface--->addons, didnt put them in while I was logged/had game open tried putting my WoW file in a different location because a read there could be a pathing issue Re-downloaded and started from scratch deleted all my other WoW files from past(future) versions Repair file says cant connect to server, or i'd try that as well anyone else have this problem? qbradq 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2017 In your post you said you put the files in "Program Files\Interface\AddOns". This is the wrong location. It should be under a directory called "Interface" next to your "WoW.exe" file. For example, if you installed to "Program Files\World of Warcraft", then place the files at "Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns". You'll know it's the correct directory because there will be the Blizzard addons already in the directory, like so: 0 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Does anyone know where I can find a repair.exe for 1.12 since mine seems to be broken? I don't know what else to try.. don't see any reason why my addons wouldn't show up There is no repair tool. Just re-download a fresh 1.12 client. It's pretty much portable - there is no installer. You can even run it off a flash drive. Wherever you are putting it, make sure the user account you have has write access to the WoW folder. I've see a lot of ppl put it in their Program Files folder which gives read only access - this causes you to not be able to save any of your settings because those get written to WTF folder when you make changes. I'd recommend simply extracting the client to a WoW folder on your user profiles desktop to test - you should have full access to that. 0 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
