[QUESTION] Ban player for real money?

Recommended Posts

Hello.

After the last banwave me began to bother some thoughts. That if the person who bought the gold for real money will buy items from the auction which put by one player?

Describe the situation:

An attacker wants to ban a player. He buys gold for real money, looking for items that are put on auction by player and buy it. System and GMs think that is the gold transaction and ban player.

Or if attacker sent a gold or items by mail?

Is it real? After my first ban i am really afraid sell at auction, because my items can be bought for "dirty gold".

P.S. Sorry for my bad english.

If you sell refreshing spring water on ah for 100g it will look suspicious indeed. Normal auctions no, not likely. And don't accept gold or stuff by mail from unknown people.

Thanks for answer. So if I sell items at normal prices and someone will buy them for dirty gold, i was not banned?

GM please reply to this.

One more question. If I earn gold by legal means and give 100g (for mount) to my girlfriend (who lives with me) It will not look like selling gold?

Giving gold to players is not a bannable offense.

This. And anyway in wow retail buying gold and doing ANY other gold transaction wasnt ever ever bannable. Is this really a priority for staff to get involved into people private transactions and on the other hand completely ignoring scamm reports?

I feel restless because I still have not received a reply from GMs here. Now I got the 30 level on new character and earned 70 gold at auction, but I'm still afraid of the next banwave, because I don't understand how the banhammer works. I take screenshots of all transactions at auction, hope this helps in case of what...
