Sarrowind 3 Report post Posted March 14, 2017 Bw32 and Naeras, use that VPN. My latency is LESS than when Uverse wasn't having issues even!
Buckdich 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2017 Same here, AT&T fiber SE (NC). Usually latency hovered around 100 - 110 ms, recently have been seeing same results as everyone who has posted on this issue. Started using a ExpressVPN, tried several locations, currently using NY @ 115-120 ms.

Eyeoftiger 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2017 Is this fix yet?
Trajor 2 Report post Posted March 15, 2017 Not fixed. I logged in this morning and latency is in the red. I was looking at http://weathermap.ovh.net/#usa I don't think AT&T is listed, but nwk-1-a9 appears in my traceroute. It's listed on the right side in the large rectangular box with (currently) purple and blue arrows.

Sarrowind 3 Report post Posted March 15, 2017 At least our routing issue is temporary and will be fixed, unlike notorious French rudeness
Roxxanne 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2017 Hopefully will be fixed. Hearing "It seems to be ISP and not us" for me in the past has also meant "Go F Yourself".
ProfessorSnape 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2017 Same lag problems, same provider. Tried Spotflux VPN and it's still not helping.
volbia 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2017 when are we going to get some kind of announcement on this? It'd be nice to know whether it's their server or not at the very least
Trajor 2 Report post Posted March 16, 2017 Found this reddit post with the same issues https://www.reddit.com/r/ElysiumProject/comments/5yvor1/att_users_are_you_lagging_high_latency_as_well/
potatodogs 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2017 so should i waste my time trying to talk to AT&T about this? Doesn't sound like anyone has a clue what's going on or what to do about it right? Can't play worth a darn. Like others have said, for me it's fine for a few seconds, then nothing works for 10s-30s, then back to fine and so on...
Roxxanne 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2017 (edited) Im not sure they look at fourms posts, they sent a response to someone who sent a message to them on discord but havent heard anything about anything since then. Start messaging either the same person the kind person did on page 2, or message every team member you can find about this to get some attention brought to the issue, i dont think this is "Just on the ISP's side" if it was there would be more issues on other games/private servers from at&t users, there is something that hasnt been taken care of between the server host and the ISP, only they can solve the issue. tried a free VPN and nothing changed, bought a VPN and nothing improved. Im not going to buy and try more VPN's just to have nothing improve and waste money doing so. Edited March 16, 2017 by Roxxanne
IzZaGod 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2017 (edited) Live in NC, have At&t uverse and having the same issues so i decided to use my Verizon phone as a mobile hotspot and it works out great for now. I usually have around 150- 300 ping but it's a lot better than what i was dealing with. Even when my At&t router would dip around 300 ping id still have ridiculous delays and i don't now on Verizon hotspot so if all else fails then might be worth a try for anyone that has a hotspot. Also i haven't even noticed my data budging from it so it can't be using much at all. Edited March 16, 2017 by IzZaGod
Naeras 1 Report post Posted March 16, 2017 i'm currently using Tunnelbear, the USA pipe adds no significant latency to my "normal" and bypasses the problem route. it's ten bucks a month, but you get what you pay for regarding VPN service..

Trajor 2 Report post Posted March 17, 2017 (edited) I opened a ticket with AT&T and managed to get a hold of someone who identified as 'level 2 internet support'. He verified the same packet loss I observed with the OVH Roubaix FR IP I previously posted in this thread. We also discussed traceroutes and agreed that there are other networks between AT&T and OVH in Newark NJ, including possibly Level 3 (my hop 8 is 4.68.62.229). The Elysium IPs do not belong to AT&T however, so they decided there was nothing more they could do and my ticket was closed. I'll continue using VPN to circumvent the issue, but now I have to maintain a VPN subscription and enter 2FA code every time. Time to go watch some March Madness games and forget about this. Trajor 2 Report post Posted March 17, 2017 (edited) OVH needs to look at this page http://smokeping.ovh.net/smokeping?target=USA.AS7018 You can click various providers on the left side. AT&T has over 10% packet loss but other US providers have 0. Edited March 17, 2017 by Trajor
horriblepancake 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2017 Not sure if I am getting lucky or something, but it is slower been clearing up for me. Couple days ago I would have to relaunch the client sometimes, now I can play "smoothly" whenever I play. It's still in the 500-800 range but it's down from 2.5kms.
Sarzen 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2017 Not to be ungrateful but what is the point of having a help and support forum if a large issue with pages of replies is not getting responded to?
Sarrowind 3 Report post Posted March 18, 2017 I work as a network/VoIP engineer and have thorough experience dealing with ISP's. They're usually pretty awful unless you get to tier 3 support levels. The crux of this is on OVH and AT&T to work with other providers that their traffic routes through for resolution, which they HATE doing. It is worse than pulling teeth and becomes a he said she said issue...
