Failed to skin

Failed to mine 

Haven't had problems with others yet

 

It takes me 3 or 4 tries and half the time it gives up and remains there unable to loot it but rewards the point for doing it

What color mobs are you trying to work on?  Orange will always give you the highest chance to fail.

The fail is normal, not a bug.

Its not always orange, mostly green and grey

Do you have the ability to record such bugs?  A possible recording showing this could maybe (and I use that lightly) get someone to investigate it.  However, my rogue is a skinner and I have not had this issue at all.  I was skinning orange last night in Un'goro for 4 hours.  

But if you can fraps maybe 1 min of it, and show us that would help support your claim.  

 

I would also open a ticket up with the evidence in bug tracker.  :D

- Getting failed attempts is normal

- Getting no skill-up from yellow/green is possible

Yes, also smokeit does point out that no-skill up is definitely possible.  You can go 10+ skins before you get 1 point, same for herbing and mining.

I will, but the point is not what's bugging me, its the not able to retrieve it from mining or skinning it (regnant)

I also have problems with skinning.  Often the skinning is successfull but it gives no material and the corpse is still laying on the ground but I can not skin again

That is a different thing all together than a actual fail.

 

I believe that is a known issue, just not an important one.
