Changes in ToU question

Now, I'm really confused about the changes regarding multiboxing.

The rule has always been that you can have 2 characters online if they are at the same major/goblin city. That by itself means that you can also use neutral auction if it's a goblin city.

And now the rules are changed and say that now we can use it for neutral AH, as if we couldn't previously. What is it about?

Also, this line is very confusing:

So while I have both characters online in Ironforge, I can't use AH with any of them?

I think it's it's to stop players from using an AH scan

That makes no sense, there's no point in having two characters in the same city for AH scan when you can do that just fine with one.

And it wasn't forbidden before in the first place, but the post says it's "still" forbidden now.

Greetings Oakenlix,

The use of any auction house was technically forbidden by the previous rules. If you read the ToU it states you may never multibox except for these specific exceptions. Using an Auction house was not one of the exceptions (trading, crafting, conjuring, portalling)

So prior to this change it was forbidden to use any auction house while multiboxing. Now you can use the Neutral auction house to transfer items/gold across factions but you may not use your factional auction house, or simply sit there browsing the neutral auction house.

Ok, I assumed using AH fell in to the cathegory of "trading".
